Obama gave the speech he needed to give last night! Despite the “he must do this without doing that” all through yesterday, Democratic Presidential nominee Barack Obama gave a hard hitting speech highlighting McCain’s faults and assuring that America is better then the last eight years. Everyone has a take- Ron will give you his.

McCain, worrying the Obama camp, came out yesterday with and ad that turned out to be congratulating Obama on his day and saying, “Senator, job well done”. Sneaky.

Well, John McCain's judgement has now been tested. And he's failed that test spectacularly. The most important test of anyone who runs for president is the ability to choose first a running mate, then an administration. On the occasion of his 72nd birthday, in front of a banner that, without irony, read "Country First," McCain chose Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, a hard right-winger who is plainly not ready to step-up in the event of McCain's inability to serve out his term.

Congratulations, women of America!

You could be led in to a shining future by a woman with relatively little political experience, personal and political values that stand in stark contrast to basic women’s rights, and who is currently the subject of an investigation in the (foreign and exotic) state of Alaska!
