American Afternoon with Sam Seder – Monday May 5th 2008

By

Air America’s 3-6pm et time slot welcomes back Sam Seder.  Sam’s HOUR ONE Guest will be Philippe Sands.  Sands is a British Queen's Counsel at Matrix Chambers, and is Professor of International law at University College London. Sands is notable for authoring a book, "Lawless World", where he accuses US President George W. Bush and Prime Minister Tony Blair of conspiring to invade Iraq in violation of international law. In May 2008 his follow-up book, titled "Torture Team: Rumsfeld's Memo and the Betrayal of American Values" will be released.

Finally, the HOUR THREE guest will be Laurence O’Donnell.  O’Donnell is widely known as an outspoken television political commentator, and was the Democratic Chief of Staff of the United States Senate Committee on Finance from 1993 through 1995. In 1992, he was Chief of Staff of the United States Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works.  O'Donnell made himself a key figure in the coverage of the Valerie Plame scandal by naming Karl Rove as the primary source for Matt Cooper's story. He is well known for his strong dislike of California's current governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

It's Sam!!!

Hallelujah! Has someone at AAR been reading these comments all last week? I doubt it, but hope we'll be hearing Sam all week at least.

sam seder the best of the best

would you all just give him the 3-6 time slot please?!
seriously!

Hope not at least everyone

Hope not at least everyone knows Roseann Barr is an idiot but most of you fools think this guy is worth listening to.

Sam Seder

As a retired counseling psychologist, I find Seder's style of response to callers who disagree with his points one of the most respectful and reasoned that I have heard. Its a refreshing contrast to the reich-wing name calling which rarely rise above ad hominem attacks. I hope AAR can provide Sam a five day a week slot on 'American Afternoon.' He could be good for the nation's mental health since reason is a potential antidote for unreason and hate.

Keep Sammy coming every day

My day is always better when Sam is on, whether as host or sub. Please give him this time slot! I missed him on the cruise and I miss him on the air. He is a supurb host!

Thanks for Sammy in the Afternoon!

Air Americans,

Thank you for bringing Sam Seder back to afternoons on WCPT 820AM! Sam is: 1) Smart, and 2) Funny.

I'm not sure what else Air America might be looking for...

Please keep Sammy in the afternoons!

Sam Seder

It's so good to hear Sam back on the air. No-one else can pronounce Boehner's name so elegantly. Please remain on air on a more regular basis!

Hooray. AAR isn't clueless after all.

Here's to the rising stars of AAR - Sam Seder and Rachel Maddow!!!!

Finally! A SMART programming decision from AAR!!

To everyone in management and programming at AAR:

I'm a registered member for 3 years and 51 weeks but was an avid AAR listener and fan since minute #1 on day #1.

I have, however, been rendered aghast and livid by those famous AAR bonehead programming gaffs that have come up every few months. (Oh, and trying to power-play Randi into altering her contract and LOSING HER by inhibiting her free speech was just the icing on the cake. Talk about killing your Golden Goose...)

But here's your chance to redeem yourself: Randi, Rachel, and SAM were your three best talents, and as much as I love Randi, I love Sam equally and have often thought he has been grossly underappreciated and under-utilized by the programming boneheads up there and has conducted himself with class and professionalism throughout.

Well, I'm a huge Randi fan, and you have actually found a way to make me tune away from her--and Nova M--today and back to AAR. Love Randi, but I'm in the mood for a Seder Show today and happily tuned away from Randi to hear him instead.

Keep it up, give Sam a daily spot--and treat him like the great talent he is--and I may turn out to be one loyal listener that you HAVEN'T managed to piss away.

Not sure which format Sam would prefer long-term, but I'm particularly eager to hear how Seder and Maron play together in this slot later in the week. (Also sorely missed Maron when you geniuses gave him the premature axe in favor of, ahem, Jerry Freakin' Springer.) If they play well together without Maron stomping on Seder's informative, investigative momentum, this high-talent combo may well be your best bet yet.

I'm listening closely, and you're quickly running out of chances to get this right. Randi's still at Nova M waiting for me to tune back to her.

Oh, and that random wheel of celebrities who couldn't do a coherent radio show at gunpoint--that has GOT TO STOP NOW!!!! Name recognition only gets listeners for the first 5 minutes if they suck. And, believe me, I gave everybody you threw at me an honest, optimistic try---(but only for the first 5 minutes, because, well, they sucked.)

Seder. Daily. Well-paid. NOW!!!

Thanks,

Ken

Seder & Maron

Quite right, Marc Maron was the initial reason I started listening to AAR, even getting up early to listen to Morning Sedition. His comedic style and strength was unique on AAR, and still would be. I wish he were coming back permanently.

Me too

That was a perfect radio show for me taste. And I never listened to morning radio in my life before then. Too inane.

Sam Seder is the only host

Sam Seder is the only host who can get me to listen to this rather than Randi Rhodes. It's really almost as simple as that. ("Almost" because, I don't know, maybe if Janeane had the slot I'd listen. But Sam is the surest bet.)

Sam Seder is the only host who can get me to listen to this rather than Randi Rhodes.

Who do you think is gonig to win the radio ratings for this time slot? Seder or Rhodes?

XM just dropped Air America

XM just dropped Air America for this slot for Randi's show. However, if Sam's more informed commentary is a niche market compared to Randi's more lizard-brained approach, Hooray for niche markets.

But their label still calls it

AirAmerica. Isn't there something wrong with that legally? When I was in my car and didn't have a chance to check the internet I thought maybe AirAmerica had re-hired her, and was about to cancel my membership. I think AA should get them to at least label her show correctly.

It usually takes a few days

It usually takes a few days to a week for the info on the screen to get updated. It will probably say Randi Rhodes, but may still say air america on the 167 screen.

Rhodes

I couldn't listen to RR - - although she had an excellent memory and quite good analytical skills at this commentary game, I found her crass most of the time that her deeper layers showed through: calling herself a "black woman" and gay men "the gays" (while reminding us almost every time that she liked the gays but please don't talk to her about "the" gay sex, with a maybe-Yiddishe-NYC accent, unless I am mistaken). She was confusing because I didn't know to whom she was pandering and to whom condescending. I didn't understand why so many listeners (supposedly) found her fascinating. And then she would go off on someone while I sat silent, trying to decide why she was angry, what decision she had made about the caller, when I had heard no offense offered.

On the other hand, Seder is intelligent, like Maddow, and both of them wear political correctness as comfortably as their own skin, not a baudy, flashy and tasteless costume worn for audio-only broadcasts.

Seder On Air

Seder is better than ever today.
I want a metaphorical cookie also because I knew it was a goofy spoof too.
Sam has been working on his speech patterns; it is extremely noticeable that his speech flow is smoother than ever which makes his ideas clearer than ever. Congratulations Sam. It's so much easier to listen to your program now. Keep up the the good work.
It is odd that the federal government can prosecute anyone for perjury when it is paying ex-general officers to lie to the public. Talk about perverse!

Hooray for Sam!

Glad sam is on, KEEP HIM ON! Unfortunately XM is carrying the Randi Rhodes Nova-M feed. (Who can blame them after the last couple weeks) I will make a real effort to be near a computer to hear Sam Seder.

I enjoyed Roseanne a lot more than I expected

I agree about the rest of the 2 weeks though.

Fantastic Show

Informative and funny!

Bring back Sam to weekdays!

We need him leading up to the election.

XM started playing Randi again today

on their "Air America" station in the 3-6 time slot, isntead of Sam Seder. They still have Air America on the channel ticker. Isn't that some kind of fraud? I write them a 'listener feedback' question about it but have not heard back.

I was ready to call AirAmerica and ask WTFU.

Even before her recent break from Air America, I would much rather hear Sam Seder, and I told them so.

Im with you, I want to hear Seder

Actually I used to like Randi but her endless tirade against Hillary has turned me off. She has lost it really and a lot of things being said now are simply untrue. Randi used to do her homework, now she just starting ranting.

Bring on Sam.

I was disappointed in XM. First I really cannot listen to Ed Schultz any longer and now Randi never stops ranting.

Bring on Sam, looks like I have to give up radio and just podcast.

Bring Sam back

Bring Sam back everyday........he has had the best shows since Randi left.

sam should be brought back

what a great show today....I miss sam. he should get this or lionel's slot.

Give Sam Seder a full time show!

The world needs more Seder!

Isn't it obvious?

What other talent on AAR gets this kind of support!

Sam back NOW!

True terror is to wake up one morning and discover that your high school class is running the country. ~Kurt Vonnegut

Hey! Sam Seder needs to be back on the air 5 days a week!

Believe it!

Sam nailed it today

Put him in this slot and I'll see that he replaces RR in my market.

I agree, Sam should be on daily

I am still deciding if I should renew my premium membership. I would do it in a snap if Sam were on 5 days a week. Lose Lionel, I listened to him every day until a month ago when I realized he wasn't getting any better, I never really liked him and I was tired of listening to him be such an a-hole. Sam is a class act, smart, funny, insightful, please do AAR and your listens a favor and give him a M-F slot somewhere on your schedule.

Who needs RR

When we have Sam?

agreed

tried listening but she hasn't talked about
anything but herself since going to novam
i'd listen to sam over her ANYDAY

fantastic!

It was so great hearing Sam during the week! Air America, come on, do the right thing this time~give him the show he's earned!

Just got home from work

I listened to Sam's show while I was there and just now have time to post to AAR. I really would like to have Sam get this slot each day, before Rachel's show!!

I will be back tomorrow!

Dear AAR: Give Sam Seder a show 5 days a week. Dear MSNBC: Give Rachel her own SHOW on the TV Machine. Thanks for your kind attention to these details. ~ me

Another Great show Sam

heard todays show I wish Sam would get the
afternoon show

when you look up "best damn show on radio"
there's a pic of Sam Seder

Sam Seder !!

Progressive radio without Sam Seder is not worth listening to !
Oh, and Sammy is hardly a "guest host" - isn't that title a
little insulting when Sam has years of experience with AAR -
unlike the previous weeks' guest hosts who were mere dilettantes?
Please give Sam Seder a five-days-per-week show.
Thank you, from a long-time AAR listener.

How about a

SEDER/MARON team, with the previous celebrity guest hosts as backups.

make sam the man or i cancel!!!!!!

about time sam is the best host in all of progressive radiodom! make him the permanent host or i cancel my on demand!! Sam rules!!!!!!!!!!!

YAY! SEDER IS BACK!

RIGHT ON!

hey air america

please remember you are a radio station. Not a celebrity vaudeville. The fill in hosts for randy rhodes the last couple of weeks have been quite painful to listen to, the most atrocious being roseanne barr, with her quacky voice and gossipy tone - but the whole idea of a celebrity carousel is truly offensive. These people may be celebrity in something or other, but none of them were good at radio

Now with Sam Seder you have a true radio professional - one of the best - a gem that frankly sometimes I wonder may even be too good for air america, but hey, if you give him a daily slot I'll listen, I'll renew the membership I cancelled when you cancelled one after the other all my favorite shows breaking my heart over and over again each time(MorningSedition,Mike Malloy, the majority report, too many sorrows to even want to dwell on them)

Looking forward to the next few days of Sam! I hope against hope that somehow AirAmericaRadio will make the right choice and give Sam the platform he deserves: a solid three hours daily!

Sam needs a show

I have been a premium member for two years and have watched my favorite shows disappear one by one. If Sam goes, I will have no reason to continue listening. Please give him a Mon through Fri show.

Please bring Sam on full time in the afternoon

Sam Seder is the best Air America has - it is beyond understanding that this is not obvious to the station management. Please, please, please give Sam the Monday to Friday in the 3-6 timeslot. The other "guest hosts" have been abysmal. I haven't been able to listen to any of them for longer than 5 minutes. People don't tune in for celebrity, they turn in for great radio and Sam Seder is great radio.

Sam said on Sunday that his Sunday show is only on the air for a few more weeks - if Air America doesn't act NOW, I have a feeling Nova-M is going to be getting one more top show - Sam Seder - to add to its roster.

Every day Sam's not on

is a death nail to AAR.

It's a No-Brainer -- Sam Seder -- 3 - 6 p.m., Monday - Friday

Air America Radio, give your listeners what we're clamoring for: Sam Seder FIVE DAYS A WEEK! While I don't have inside knowledge, I'm willing to bet that there has been more feedback in Sam's favor than for any of the other hosts you've put in the 3 - 6 p.m. timeslot.

Sam was on fire today. It amazes me how he can sound so upbeat when he is treated so shabbily by AAR's management. Sam is a special talent who teaches through his humor. He's also gracious and never mean-spirited. With Sam, AAR would never have to worry about the FCC coming after him or some other group being up in arms about something Sam said.

Even though I've never met Sam and have never spoken to him, I feel like he is a friend of mine. The way he engages his audience and takes the time to reply to instant messages from his fans, goes above and beyond any other talk radio host. Sam has a way of drawing you into the show and becoming a part of it, just as Marc Maron and Mark Riley did on "Morning Sedition."

Please, please, please give Sam Seder that slot. He's been loyal to AAR and this is the time to show that you appreciate that loyalty.

Sammy is the best where is the freakin podcast?

Where is the freakin podcast? Sammy is the best bring him back or we will riot!!!

Sam

What a surprise. I could actually listen to AAR today. Your "guest" host is more appropriately titled a network anchor. Consider this, we are in an election year and AAR is choosing, by relegating Sam to guest hosting, to not deliver progressive or liberal views to its audience in a 5 day a week format. Maybe that is exactly what the Green strategy has been. Though I have said it before, I will say it again. Put Sam Seder on 5 days a week. For information and news desperately needed, nobody else comes close.
Listen, I love Maron, but you need both these guys to have a successful network.
After all, it's already after 8, once Olbermann is over it's time for Mike Malloy on Nova M.

Woo-hoo!!

Due to technical limitations at my office, I can no longer stream from work. However, should AAR decide to give Sam a weekly slot, I WILL get a satellite radio just to catch Sam and Rachael. There has never been a clear-er choice for AAR to make, if there is any desire to keep listeners. Give him the AM slot and bump Lionel to sometime that makes him easier to avoid. Or take the easy road and put him in Randi's old slot. Otherwise, AAR might as well just play taps.

Cheers!
-Spunk-Monkey

What joy! Sam two days in a row! And again tomorrow?

I left work early today to start my commute. Great substantive interview with Phillipe Sands. Hilarious satire about the Pentagon propaganda office. Yesterday, caught up with the blogosphere with Sam's panel. No one is doing this on the radio. I've listened to them all, and none of them get these diverse voices on their show.
Add my vote for regular Seder!

YEAH FOR SAM

Thanks for a great show today! Looking forward to Wednesday....We need Sam Seder every day!!! Smart, intelligent, thoughtful, funny and CUTE.

Sam

Sam is the best host on AAR and he should be given a weekday show.

A quick blurb for people new to Sam

If you're reading here because you enjoyed the show, i'm sure you're surprised by the less-than-stellar traffic here at the moment. You should know that Sam has his own blog where regular listeners post during the show (and generally hang out at all hours). As a longtime lurker there, I would like to personally invite you to stop by www.samsedershow.com either now or next time Sam's on the air and get to meet some the regulars, participate, and enjoy it. Enjoy the streaming wonder of "The SammyCam". But even if you don't post, come visit.

Just try not to feed the trolls. We'd rather cranky conservatives just grow a pair and just call during the show.

Cheers!

Sam Seder and Marc Maron Yeah ! !

Give Sam Seder a 5 Day aweek Show ! AAR Do something right for a change..

And,get Maron back on AAR Anyway you can, too !

Without Sam on board for the run-up to the Elections All of us will be losing a Valuable and Knowledgeable Radio source !

Without Marc on board you have No Funny,No Rants,No Soul..

Jeebus,Please Do Something right AAR ! !
Listen To Your Listeners ! !

Thank you..I hope..

Keep it up AA!

AAR has been very instrumental in changing this country, by providing an avenue to which we all could turn to, while the rest of the traditional media has died. Thank you so much! And Sam is my favorite of all the excellent radio hosts.

Sam on the radio - Yes!

Boy, last week was a little rough. I had to delete American Afternoon for a few days. Thank goodness we get someone who understands the AAR listeners are as well informed as the hosts. I am looking forward to the podcast.

Another fan of Sam

AA had pretty much lost any loyalty I had, but bringing Sam back on weekdays would have me tuning in a lot. He does such a great job of making the very tangled and nebulous issues clear. Add in great guests and the requisite humor and its a winner!

Maybe he and Maron can co-host a show...

One of the best Hosts

Sam Sedar has turned into one of the most interesting and well informed talk show hosts. Iffy in the early dats if AAR but has grown and learned to have a smooth, informative show with good interviewing skills, Maybe he has too much talent now for a regular show on AAR.

http://sohighabove.blogspot.com

Missed today, but did see Seder on Sunday...

... on the Sammy Cam with Lauren. Although I do like the American Afternoon rotation format, like many I would like to see a *permanent* slot for Mr. Seder. So, what about that big honkin' a.m. drive-time void currently filled by re-runs? Perhaps some kind of reworking of the late, lamented Morning Sedition? Maybe with Laura Flanders as co-host and Marc Maron on live remotes from our nation's many troublespots. With the election fast approaching, we need Sam's enthusiastic and informed daily take on what matters most! Besides, he can balance the doctrinaire with the humorous, which don't come easy.

Steven

Put Sam on five days a

Put Sam on five days a week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've listened to Sam's shows on occasion.

He's not crazy.

Accordingly, I'm not sure he's a good fit for AAR.

This is what your schedule should be:

All times Eastern
6AM - 9 AM Bring back Belzer, Rosanne, Joy and everybody else until you settle on something that works. What happened with the Young Turks?
9AM - NOON Thom Hartmann - a good serious show that makes a good alternative to Stephanie Miller's silliness
NOON - 3 PM Sam Seder - This guy is everything Air America promised to be when you launched in '04. A good, funny, intelligent, sane alternative to Rush and Ed.
3 PM - 6 PM Lionel. You're never going to outdo Randi at what she does, so go with something very different.
6 PM - 9 PM Rachel Maddow. One of the most important voices on the radio who without a doubt will have a long and successful career. Don't lose her.
9 PM - MIDNIGHT Marc Maron. His LA show was really getting good when the plug got pulled. He's very different from Malloy and could do quite well building an early evening audience on the West Coast.
MIDNIGHT - 3 AM Jon Elliott. Once again, a good guy for the West Coast.
3 AM - 6 AM Rebroadcast - your choice.

You're welcome.

Please don't lose Sam Seder. You have a lot of listeners who really love
him.

The sleek, smart, intrepid radio styling of Sam Seder --YES!

Listened to Sam's show today (Monday May 5) and he makes the most of three hours. He obviously prioritized the coverage in his main segments and succeeded in covering the stories which the corporate mainstream media isn't covering -- torture, 75 generals spewing Bush Administration propaganda for the ET (Eventual Truth) Effect, and election fraud, etc.

Sam's shows are sleek, smart, and go where the media giants refuse to go.

I want more Samtime on my radio.

Check The Ratings

I'm confident enough about Sam to just recommend that Air America check the ratings when he's on. I'm sure that will tell you all you need to know. Sam Seder is intelligent, funny and just what America, and Air America, needs in the afternoon.

is there a podcast for Sam's ENTIRE Monday 5/5 show?

is there a podcast for Sam's ENTIRE Monday 5/5 show? PLEASE?

Sam 5 datys a week!

I want Sammy on 5 days a week more than anything... however, leave Maron alone. He's not an idiot or anything, but he conveys wryness much more than he does analytical and comedic commentary. He's like the Richard Lewis of political talk radio. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

If you put Sammy back on 5 days a week you can count on my podcast dollars.

I agree, Sam Seder needs to be on 5 days a week

There is nobody on the radio like Sam Seder, it's criminal he's not on every day.

AAR, please do the right thing for a change and put your most promising home grown on air talent back on weekdays.

How do we get Randi Rhodes out of Sam Seder's spot on XM?

Sam is the perfect host for this spot. However, I can't hear him because Randi Rhodes from Nova M is now being
broadcast on XM 167 in his place. HELP!

instant karma

Last few weeks

Richard Belzer was GREAT! Smart, funny and focused. A wonderful break in the post-Rhodes era. I realized I didn't try to find Randi on NovaM, and I didn't care. Belzer would make a kick-butt addition to talk radio. But on Monday there was Randi again, and she was treating it like the Second Coming. Roseanne was a pleasant surprise; I actually liked her segments last week. Seder is always someone to look for, but since I can't hook up my computer to the car I guess I'll have to endure Randi on the way home from work.
What is it with AA people? With XM people? I subscribe to XM to hear progressive, liberal voices and instead of the first hour of Rachel Maddow I get these moronic corporate talking head Bozos from MSNBC instead. I'm almost ready to cancel.
MEMO to XM: get rid of that idiotic simul-cast from 6-7 p.m. and put Rachel back on. We listen to you to get away from the idiocy befouling the air waves. And find some way of getting Richard Belzer his own show!

Sam Seder

Welcome back Sammy. Lets hope AAR management doesn't F#CK this one up.

Thanks for a wonderful afternoon Sam!

To the Greens:

Thank you for putting Sam Seder back on the air. The afternoon slot is, and will be, perfect for him. I know it isn't written in blood yet, but you would make Air America fans happy if you just gave Sam the 3-6 slot.

Sam was great on Monday. Actually, he wasn't just GREAT, he was the best!

I absolutely love Thom Hartman in the morning (still don't know why Charlie is in Thom's spot on XM Radio!) because he is so sweet and knowledgeable and he really gets to the Republikans. Thom gets to them because he doesn't yell and swear at them like RR did.

Sam Seder is the same as Thom. He knows his stuff, and he can handle the right wing wackos that call him up. Sam has superb guests, just like Thom does, and Sam can interview them like no one else.

Please, please, please, make an old lady happy (LOL) and give Sam Seder his show in the afternoons. He is the best!

Oh, and would you please put Thom Hartman BACK on XM Radio in the mornings? I stream him now, but in the car I'm stuck with Charlie, so I turn the channel.

Thanks again for a wonderful Monday afternoon Sam!

Seder and Maron could save

Seder and Maron could save Air America. With Rachel appearing to be moving on to Television there's no reason anymore for me to listen to AAR.

If they got Seder and Maron back, I'd at least be listening for a few hours a day, every day, and it might inspire me to listen to other things on AAR.

I sure miss the old days when Maron had the morning show, Franken had middays, and Morning Sedition with Seder and Garofalo rounded up the nighttime. I'd listen to other shows in between those three and had AAR on almost constantly. Now? Only if I know Seder's going to be on - and/or Maron guest hosting.

I don't miss Randi on there, really. Or Malloy. I sure miss Maron and Seder, though.

ahh the good 'ol days

i remember listening nearly 24/7 i no longer needed
cable news shows or the daily show
AAR was worth staying home and streaming for.
Now all thats left is sam seder, ring of fire, rachel,
laura flanders

Sam is the best! Bring back Sam 5 days!

I think it is so important to have Sam's voice on the radio, particularly in the ongoing election year. He is so informative as well as entertaining, a winning combination for radio. He is a far better fit than any of the other guest hosts. Please keep him on permanently M-F 3-6, or at least 6-9 am.
Karen Scales

Seder on Mondays

AAR has no product. They've just lost their biggest personality, they have no drive-time show (!!!), and it seems pretty clear Maddow will be leaving for television.

How's that AAR 2.0 relaunch working out for you?

Bring back Sam Seder and Marc Maron!

I canceled my Premium AAR

I canceled my Premium AAR membership because of Randi's suspension. However, I would reconsider joining again, if Sam Seder and Marc Maron are given daily shows. They have proven their abilites, time and again, and deserve to be broadcast daily.

Please give this slot to Sam

Seder is the right choice for the 3-6pm time slot. Intelligent, articulate, funny...what more do you need?

Please put Sam Seder and Marc Maron on the air fulltime

Thanks, AAR, for bringing Marc Maron back this week, and for putting Sam on more than Sunday, and I hope a regular daily time slot can be found for them either together (if they so choose) or on their own. I prefer them as a team, because I like their back and forth humor, but AAR seems to prefer solo hosts, so whatever it takes. Good luck Sam and Marc! And good luck to you too, AAR. I miss the days when your airwaves had humor and keen insight.

Love hearing Sammy in the afternoon

I'm very excited about this week's American Afternoon schedule. Maron and Seder make an awesome combo. Comedy with your politics is the only way to go. There's a *reason* why Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert are so hot right now---it's the comedy.

----
I vote for Maron and Seder in the Afternoons.

I reinstated my subscription for one month

I gave AAR another month in honor of Sam being on this week to let AAR know he is their money maker. I do think Sam and Mark could do a great show together, but no matter what, Sam needs to be part of the solution. I am not real happy that AAR seems to be making them compete against each other, because they are both great and both deserve full time shows over the people they currently have on.

no one else can compare

sam seder is by far the best thing aar has to offer
sorry to all other shows but its true,
I have never heard an on air personality as smart
as funny as honest and as hip.
he's head and shoulders above
any other radio personality that any other network
has to offer.
better than steph miller
better than ed shultz
better than rush or shannity
better than lionell
better than RR

To give sam the afternoon time slot 5 days a week would
be good business (and common) sense.
JUST DO IT!

Sam should be in this spot permanently

I get AAR premium for Sam's show only, and so I can podcast whoever he's filling in for. He's the best this network has - please put him in this slot permanently!

AAR needs Seder and Maron full-time

Is AAR serious about offering genuine progressive radio, or not? Will AAR drop all their best talent and drive away an audience who knows the difference between corporate shills or talentless hacks and unbought original thinkers who can also bring the funny? Does the management care at all about what we listeners want? For the last time, please bring back Sam and Marc!

Sam should be on the air

all day, every day. But we'll settle for this time slot.
