Program content is controlled by media execs that are more interested in ratings and sponsors.

Many years ago, the news departments were some what independent but that changed.

Now news programs are just like other entertainment programs that must make a profit and not offend powerful interest.

There was never any real liberal media because most papers and news networks are in the hands of conservative owners that control content.

On that Rather story the you point out....he was fired because he couldn't provide absolute proof.

Seems like the goverment should be able to account for someone on their payroll and the burden should be on the military to account for why they paid Bush when he was in the national guard.

Was any anchor fired for promoting that silly story about Kerry stealing his military medals. Did any news anchor ask the question if Kerry could still his medals...should we be asking the same of every military veteran.

Wake up son...the media was alway consevative because it is profit based and not civic minded.

I van not understand how any person can still support this Administration in any way. What was accomplished? What did they do so well?

1. Asleep at the wheel letting 9/11 happen (over 3,000 dead Americans)
2. Let the Bin Laden Family fly out of America while Americand were gtounded
3.Invaded Afghanastan, installed a President who worked for oil pipeline companies
4. Let the Taliban and Bin Laden escape, The supposed 9/11 masterminds
5. Invaded a Nation based on lies (4,000 Dead Amertcans, 10's of thousand maimed)
6. Privatized Military jobs, opening the Treasury doors to favorite Corporations without bids *Billions unaccounted for)
7. Lost respect of the International Comunity
8. Sold us out to China, and Saudi Arabian
9. Economic Devastation
10. Most Corrupt officals, resigning and or indicted * many more should still be indicted)
11. Loss of Technologu, Science, and Innovatiom Leadership
12. Crumbling Infrastructure
13. Katrina response - rebuilding failure
14. through 13,001 - add your own failures - there are many more to coose from....if you still support this Administration in any way you must want the demise of the America founded on the enlightened documents of te Founding Fathers.

A thorough fact check of the documents

showed the details to be comfirmed. The worst you can say about them is they could not be authenticated. The secretary that would have typed them said she didn't remem\ber doing so, but that they were accurate. Rather was forcewd out of hios position by a right-leaning corporate management. yeah, that's liberal.

Free Political Access to the Public For All

I can't believe that politicians need to raise millions of dollars to gain access to the public for the benifit of corporate profit motivated media instead of informing the public.

Politicians need a cable channel where they control the content and not some exec that is more interested in promoting the wealth of shareholders instead of the democracy.

Now the cry by the network talking heads is that it is so terrible that the primary election is taking so long.

They had no problem since mid 2007 pushing their national polls and their favorite candidates. They were so pro Hillary and Rudy that that igored the other candidates. Now they want to push hillary out.

It is the corporate profit motivated media that is the reason the campaign season seems so long with their silly debate format. There is no way that eight or more candidates can equally present their view on the issues of today. Four should be the max. It should be the party leaders and not network anchors that asking the debate questions.

Now they want Hillary to drop out even when she very closed to Obama while there are still primaries to vote.

In others words, the corporated media wants to select the nominees of both parties instead of the primary voters and party leaders. The primaries are just one process in selecting the nominee. Especially for a diverse party like the Democratic party where political issues not reduced to over simplied campaign slogans like No Big Goverment, No Taxes, cut and run, Big Military spending and build a 800 mile fence.

This has to STOP!!!!

We don't need campaign laws to cap spending but don't change the process of informing the public so that they can the best nominee for the party.

We need the politicians and not cable talking heads getting their message to the voting public.

To correct the problem we need free access to the public through cable and air waves for the major parties so that the can control the content and message they want to send to the public.

Not corporate media!!!!

Don't be silly. If the TradMed wanted Hillary out of the race, they would simply constantly repeat the fact that she has already lost the primary race. They would repeatedly point out that she cannot catch Obama. They would mention, again and again, that she can only get the nomination if unpledged delegates buck the voters. And it would work to express the reality that Hillary has become the Huckabee (or Ron paul, you pick) of the Democratic primary race.

Instead, they act as if the race is close and that she can still overtake Obama... largely because they want her to remain in the race in hopes that they'll get the divided/contested convention they are all openly saying they desire.

What fucking race are you watching?

Hmmm. Judging by the record voter turnout and incredible fund raising, I rather like the Democrats odds against another 4 years of Bush. I look forward to an Obama administration with an increased Democratic majority in congress. And you wingnuts can go back to what you're best at for another few decades: bitching and whining about Democrats.
