Unfortunately, Americans are a good twelve months away from
admitting the true disaster the G0P has wreaked upon our nation. It is imperative that we citizens demand retribution and punishment for their callous crimes. Do not close Gitmo, fill it with the sludge that has weakened the nation. Let the Cubans be their guards.
It is always about the money.
shoe-thrower
Isn't it kind of a testiment to our success in Iraq that some PO'd dude can throw his shoe at Bush? He seems like kind of a retard; he hates America (including you liberals), yet if he pitched a shoe at "president" Saddam he'd have been force-fed his own gonads on live tv before the press conf was over.
He's a true Iraqi liberal, biting the hand that feeds him freedom. (And he works in the media. What a surprise.) Just like all the stupid liberals here in the states: "We don't want no damn recruiting office in Berkeley! Oh no! Who's gonna save me from all these terrorists? Who's gonna defend my freedom of speech and my "right" to have an abortion?"
News flash: It ain't the Middle Easters who support your rights, especially if you're an atheist, a homosexual, or a woman.
I'm no Bush cheerleader, but facts is facts: Bush truly liberated these people.
Bush truly lied to start the war
and murdered a million of those people. Explain how the military defends against terrorist attacks. There is no freedom in Iraq as it has become an Islamic Republic. It is a theocracy. Do you ever post anything even slightly based in reality?
LOL - I'm just sorry the guy missed knocking the Chimp-In-Chief
upside his empty head - now THAT would have made it all the more fucking PRICELESS!
"I'm always amazed when I hear people saying; "That George Bush, he's a great leader". And I wonder, where can one find a drug that would make one so delusional?" Lewis Black
Just because a slightly less oppressive government
was installed to replace a more oppressive government does not mean you shouldn't protest its crimes.
And Maliki's puppet state is actually more oppressive than Saddam's fascist state if you are a Sunni, Christian, or a woman.
And here's a news flash, buddy. The U.S. military has historically spent precious little of its time fighting for anyone's freedom. Its the citizenry of this nation that has fought for it, often with the military backing up the oppressors.
Freedom to be tortured? So what!
Yea, the guy has the freedom to throw shoes and all he gets is a broken arm, head injuries and internal bleeding. Well, at least he wasn't tortured like Saddam did at Abu and Gitmo.
Wait, Saddam didn't torture at Gitmo? Oh yea, that was us showing the Iraqis what real freedom is all about.
I know, I know, Iraqis have it better now than they did under Saddam. Well, at least the ones who are still alive and have clean water and electricity.
Ok, not the Christians. Most of them have been murdered or driven out.
Wait a second. Why are we there again? Let's ask President "you killed my cousin" Bush.
Oh, that's right. He already said, "So what"?

"So what"?
At least we can take comfort in that Dumbya gives both American AND Iraqi citizens the proverbial finger ... ;-)

Yeah, what an ungrateful bastard the guy was!
He should thank St. George for:
Killing anywhere from 85,000 (US government figure) to 2 million (international figure) Iraqis.
Forcing 2 million Iraqis to leave their own country to live in refugee camps.
Bringing Al Qaeda into Iraq, (Bush says "So what?" to ABC's Martha Raditz when she brings that point up.
Unleashing sectarian violence that hadn't previously existed in Iraq.
Destroying what little was left of the Iraqi infrastructure.
Torturing Iraqi citizens.
Unleashing murderous mercenaries that are above the law.
This guy needs to have his head examined. Iraq is now such a great place, I'm sure neocons will be rushing there on vacation, or at least trying to make America the same kind of paradise.
Truth is whatever you can get other people to believe - Tom Smothers
Oh, Suave - don't you get it?
They're only those stinkin' brown people ... besides, that nitwit will find some way to blame the Iraqi's themselves for torture, Al Qaeda, refugee's ... it's that compassionate conservatism, dontchaknow ...
"I'm always amazed when I hear people saying; "That George Bush, he's a great leader". And I wonder, where can one find a drug that would make one so delusional?" Lewis Black
I'm sure that going from a
I'm sure that going from a government where men and women were more or less equal to Shari'a law was a real liberation for the women.
I'm sure that going from a government where Christians could be promoted to positions of power to one where only Shi'a Muslims can is a real liberation for Christians.
I'm sure those thousands of Jews and tens of thousands of Christians who have fled the new Iraqi government feel that the Americans really liberated them.
You don't know what the hell you're talking about.
Well said, Michtou

---Alternet is brings the holiday cheer with this piece about the inevitability of a nuclear terror attack.
The problem here is that most of these articles don't make a lot of sense. For one, the real danger is completely assembled and ready to go nuclear weapons from someplace like the old USSR.
It's possible for nuclear material to be used in a bomb, but that wouldn't be a "nuclear bomb", but rather, a "dirty" bomb, which could certainly contaminate a large area, but would hardly set off a Nagasaki type chain reaction. For years, the right has attemped to scare Americans into believing other countries are "right around the corner" putting together nuclear weapons.
We know it takes the resources of a country years to put together a fissionable nuclear weapon. It's NOT something that you can assemble from your son's chemistry set.
Bush and Cheney have used this carnard for so many years, it's left even thinking people unsure. We need to have "smart" people looking into this, not Republicans who believe "science" is a religion. Remember, with religion, "anything" is possible because it's "magical" in nature.
