Saving Sam, yes we can
Can Air America continue to let some of its best hosts go, without going under itself? If you want an airwave counter to Little Lord Ditto, it’s up to you to spare Air America that fate, by convincing them to re-sign obvious talents like Sam Seder.
If they burn off enough talent and go under, where will you go for Jon Elliott, Thoma Hartman, Robert Kennedy and others? Plese, click on the link and read more reasons to save Sam from this end, and save Air America from itself.

Sam Seder Show must stay and expand
Sam Seder was the best show AAR carried. Sundays are not enough! I broke down last summer and purchased XM radio for my car, since we in the greater Boston area do not have a local radio station (I am an AAR member and regularly podcast). I cannot listen to Lionel! He is awful. Bring back Sam M-F
I can't believe that his contract may not be renewed what's wrong with AAR!!! If this happens I will no longer stay as an AAR on demand member.

By mindy mazurMay 12, 2008 - 8:43amSam is the one I can always listen to
I vote to give Sammy a daily show again! He interviews people that I want to hear from. He asks the questions I would ask. And he is funny! I never feel despair with the way the country is going when I listen to Sam like I do when I listen to some of the others. I have to take a break from Thom Hartmann and Ring of Fire once in a while just to get back my feeling of well being. I never have to do that with Sam.

Why hasn't AAR renewed its contract with Sam Seder? He's worked hard to become an excellant progressive talk show host. You should have Sam host the Afternoon 3-6 pm show. It's OK to have a variety of guest co-hosts to work with him but the afternoon show needs a consistant host. I like that Sam has bloggers on to talk about issues of the day and to give a progressive view about the issues of the day as well as criticizse the corporate right wing media.

By toniD hereMay 12, 2008 - 10:00amSam is the best.
As of today, there are only about three shows on AAR I can stand to listen to anymore; Sammy is one of them. I wait impatiently for Seder On Sundays and chafe that he is not available during the week.
I am beginning to suspect AAR is going MSM, getting rid of recognizable talent?
After all he has done for AAR, THIS is how you reward him?

Sam is the only show I listen to on AAR. Please save his show and give him more time.

By schoolarMay 12, 2008 - 10:10amSam for American Afternoon
Sam Sedar should be the permanent host for American Afternoon with maybe a guest host one day a week. Sam does a great show and he is up on the issues, He does great interviews and asks the right questions.
I was glad to see Randi gone; I had stopped listening to her show. But, I have to say that some of the guest hosts since her departure were awful. Joy Behar and Roseanne would be nice to have as an interview segment, but not for the whole show. It was just show business gossip and their own sometimes off the wall opinions. They were not well versed on the issues and did not have guests talking about important political issues. It was a koffe klatch and not the hard hitting news filled insightful type of show that I subscribe to AA for . Belzar was tolerable, but not strong enough to make me listen everyday.
Give us more Sam.

By CaprilleMay 12, 2008 - 10:11amkleep sam .... in ANY daily timeslot ..and i'll listen!
I have written these same comments too many times. I have had an AAR account since week 2 of its inception, and have watched AAR management summarily cancel almost every one of my "must listen" programs, one by one, and I now know enough to realize that when April-May rolls around, so will the "heads" of the very best hosts on AAR. Unfiltered ...Morning Sedition, the Mark Maron Show... Mike Malloy... Sam Seder (3 times). When you fired Kent Jones, I cancelled my premium membership.
Did you notice I didn't mention Randi? If you want some competition, put Sam in her old 3-6 slot. If you want better radio, get rid of Lionel and put Sam on in the 9-noon slot. If you want to continue to drive this network into the ground? Just keep doing what AAR "management" (i use the term loosely) has been doing all along.
What have I learned after 4 years? AAR does not care about loyal listeners. You learned nothing from the Jerry Springer fiasco, I guess.
So, while I realize that you couldn't care less about what any of us think, I'll just close by saying you're making a HUGE MISTAKE -- again -- and ask that you please give Sam a daily timeslot. I'm down to one hour AAR now --the segment of Rachel's show that Rachel actually does. Other than that, I'm on NovaM. Wake up.

Should Sam Seder be given a 3hr X 5 day slot?
Yes, you should!
Thanks!

I will take this guys slot in a heartbeat. I will bring increased advertising money and add sanity to this decay you call liberal talk radio.
