Obama Names More Staff Members

President-elect Barack Obama announced over the weekend the appointment of three more staffers, including Jim Messina, a longtime aide to DC lawmakers, and current transition team member, who will serve as deputy chief of staff sharing those duties alongside Mona Sutphen, a former foreign service officer who was also named.

Pete Rouse will join the administration as senior advisor. He brings many years experience as a congressional staffer and served as co-chair of the Obama-Biden transition project.

"These individuals are important additions to a team with the experience and ability to help our nation overcome pressing challenges at home and around the world," Obama said in a statement.
