Poll-itics: Not good enough, John Sidney McCain

By thePoliticalCarnival

By GottaLaff

Read the last sentence:
The latest Gallup tracking poll shows Sen. Barack Obama's advantage over Sen. John McCain "has been shrinking since the start of the Republican National Convention, and is now down to just two percentage points -- 47% to 45% -- too close to call."

The latest Rasmussen tracking poll shows Obama barely edging McCain, 46% to 45%.

Clearly, McCain is enjoying a bounce out of the GOP convention as he closes the gap with Obama. Today's numbers include polling done from Wednesday through Friday of last week; the Sunday and Monday numbers will include the full impact of McCain's acceptance speech. It should be interesting.

Nate Silver previews the next few days: "Last night and tonight should be among the best individual nights of polling that the Republicans see all year. If the best they can do is close the race to a tie, or an Obama +1 on those nights, they are not going to win the race based on inertia alone." This must be why they've re-started their "unpatriotic" campaign again. They resort to flag/flag pin issues when they have nothing else. And I think we've pretty much established that they have nothing else, because we know it's not about the issues.

Silly Republicans Are At It Again

I was in a chat room where silly republicans were whining about U S Flags being trashed at The Dem Convention in Denver. If those flags were made in The USA, I would have a problem with that, but the fact is these whiny little Nazi chat room republicans are complaining over a flag most likely outsourced & made in China.

The Republicans went into the trash , recycled outsourced flags & passed them out at their convention. The stupid republican party think if you go to a store, purchase a U S flag, U S flag pin or a magnetic sticker to put their car of " We Support The Troops" that were made in other countries, it makes them patriotic.

Here's my thought on this: If the whiny cowardly republicans cared so much about The USA flag & their country, they would buy american made products instead of outsourced goods. If you gave a damn about your country, you would not purchase a U S flag made in another country. If you gave a damn about the economy, you would not buy goods & services from other countries to boost their economy & not yours. If the whiny cowardly republicans cared about their country, they would get off their computers & go enlist in the military to support the war in Iraq they claim they are for. In other words, buy American goods to boost America's economy & keep American people employed.

So, I just don't have a problem with a U S flag made in another country being disposed of. I buy American flags made in my own country that supports American workers that made it & America's economy & by the way, if those flags were trashed... it was the clean up crew's fault that trashed them & not Obama or The DNC's fault. If you rent a place to hold a party or convention, the owner's staff is responsible for clean up, not the renter. Republicans are morons.

The problem with that story

The problem with that story is that it was a lie to start with.

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed." Dwight Eisenhower

On thursday night...

McCain failed to wear a flag pin during his acceptance speech. He must be a Taliban Muslim Al Qaeda terrorist commie pinko liberal named Hussein who attended a "madrassa" (ooh scary!) and wasn't born in this country etc etc etc...

Oh wait, no he's not, he was in a POW camp in Viet Nam where a prison guard drew a cross in the snow, forever cementing his deep Christian "agent of intolerance" faith.

The overall polls DO NOT MATTER. The only polls that matter are the state polls. Specifically we need to be watching:

NV (currently leaning BO)
MN (currently leaning BO)
IN (currently leaning The Patriotic Ticket) if we can flip this state, we win no matter what!
OH (currently leaning BO) BO winning this state would tip the scales heavily in BO favor
MO (currently leaning BO)
IA (currently leaning BO)
PA (currently leaning BO) we MUST hang on to this state at all costs!
FL (currently leaning The Patriotic Ticket) this state alone has the electoral votes BO needs to win - if we take FL, we win it all, period, lights out, close the door, send Palin in Comparison back to the ice pond.
VA (no recent polling info available)

Obama will lose all those states

except MN, IA and maybe PA. You are dreaming if you think he could win Indiana. Ohio is a racist state that will never vote for Obama, he lost OH big in the primary.

By hufflarry2000September 6, 2008 - 4:13pm

I guess we won't be seeing you around here after Obama wins in November. Good riddance...

Support the Troops.
End the Occupation.

What you mean is

You will not be here when Obama loses big in Nov because you have finished your job of sabotaging the Dem party. Good riddence troll.

Give it up, Huff

For a long time you had us convinced that you were a Dem who supported Hillary very strongly. But now methinks you protest too much. You sound exactly like the Republican PUMA trolls. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...

You don't have to burn books to destroy a culture. Just get people to stop reading them.

You were exposed weeks ago, mole

It's obvious to everyone you're on Jet-go-Splat McJukebox's payroll. Why not just admit it and get it over with? Or is Jeff Gannon giving you sumpin'-sumpin' on the side to keep you quiet about it?

It's OVER for you and the other g0p sheeple-trolls, so you can quit projecting your anger and fear onto everyone else and get on with whatever passes for your life. If you don't like it, feel free to move somewhere else. I hear Cuba has some opportunities for people like you.

Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time.

McCain/Palin '08: the also-rans.

Hufflarry...

I'm newer to the AA boards, but this is the second time you've followed up my state poll ticker with that statement. The numbers I'm posting are fact based, taken from polls that are posted publicly, I even linked 'em on my other post.

What I'm waiting for, from you, is some fact based reasoning for making the statement that Obama will lose states, some of which he has a 5% - 8% lead in currently.

Other than just saying "you'll lose" because "OH is a racist state", can you back that up with anything other than your opinion, as I have done?

Please bookmark this page, and promise you'll come back here after the election so we can compare notes, Huff. If you are right, you get to lord it over me. If I am right, my sheer smug satisfaction will manifest itself in a simple post that says "I was dreaming... and it came true."

Huffer has issues

There are two camps right now. One thinks huffer is a disgruntled Billary supporter who, ever since she lost the nomination, will do anything and everything to sabotage the campaign for Obama. The other thinks huffer is actually a plant for the g0p who pushed for Billary's nomination under Operation Chaos because he knew the g0p had the best chance of beating Billary in the general election.

Either way, huffer's made himself irrelevant, especially since he started lashing out blindly at anyone who remotely sounds like they don't completely agree with him (read: everyone on this site).

McCain/Palin '08: the also-rans.

As you will find out on Nov 5

the majority of America does not agree with you libtards as has been the case in the last 2 pres elections. Your sabotage of the Dem party has been very successful.

Prediction:

Popular vote

McCain 52%
Obama 46%

Electoral vote:
McCain 321
Obama 217

You were exposed weeks ago, mole

Thanks for proving my point, mole. You're quite good at that. And it's always nice having some confirmation for what I'm telling someone else.

Now, the REAL numbers:

Electoral College
RCP Electoral Count: Obama 238, McCain 174, Toss Ups 126
No Toss Up States: Obama 273, McCain 265
~~~RealClearPolitics.com
Now, were there some more ass-stats you wanted excised from your rectum, mole? I'm happy to lance them for you, and I have a full box of plastic sporks that I can allocate for the job.
It's SO much fun watching g0p sheeplicants implode!
McCain/Palin '08: the also-rans.
Give it up troll.
Obama will be defeated due to the racism in America. You right wing trolls knew that and that is why you supported him over Hillary. Obama will lose OH, PA, MI and FL. Game over.
The first job of an exposed mole is to deny his affiliation.
You can deny all you want, but we've already determined that you're a tool for the RepubliCANTs, and that's why you wanted Billary to win, because you knew she was the best chance for the RepubliCANTs staying in the White House. That's why we're all laughing at you and not with you; we're watching Jet-go-Splat McJukebox and his attack poodle with lipstick melt themselves down, and watching you flail about screaming "what a world! What a world!" like the ineffective, irrelevant and petulant child you've proven yourself to be.
Go away, mole. No one else wants to play with you, and I have actual work to do tonight. Hanna will guarantee that last part, at the very least. Maybe later you can go over to Shedd's mommy's basement and have a good mutual cry over the final downfall of the g0p.
McCain/Palin '08: the also-rans.
per my earlier post...
still waiting for some facts, huff. not your opinion that this or that state is "racist". but we have your predictions in electronic stone now, so now its just wait n see.
PS. i didn't insult you, so why the "libtard" comment... if you like i can sling poo as well but I'd rather keep it civil, and keep it to the facts, unlike the GOP ticket.
You have no facts
you have polls from early Sept which mean nothing. I know Ohio is racist, I live here and that is a fact. I stand by my prediction although McCain will probably win even bigger than I think.
powers above, but you DO go on...
So you are saying that your personal experiences are somehow intellectually superior to a much larger, and scientifically run polling system?
You are either a troll, or into heavy partying.
I see why they call you "puff puff pass"...
give me lever, and a place to stand...
According to electoral-vote.com...
Ohio went from slightly red to slightly blue, and this on Friday...the day AFTER Crash's magnum opium speech.
You don't have to burn books to destroy a culture. Just get people to stop reading them.
---Ray Bradbury
You can halucinate that Ohio will go blue
if you want to. It wont. Ohio rarely votes Dem in pres elections and it most certainly wont this time with a black man running.
Pssst
Battleground States
Ohio: Obama 44.0, McCain 44.6 (McCain +0.6)
~~~RealClearPolitics.com

Looks like a statistical dead heat to me.

*POP* Another (F)right-wing Talking Point imploded. If I didn't have to be at work in 15 minutes, I'd be happy to pop a few more for you.

McCain/Palin '08: the also-rans.

The election is in Nov

not next Tuesday.

What's your point?

If Jet-go-Splat McJukebox were actually in the running here, his "post-convention bounce" would have put him well AHEAD of Obama. As it is, he hasn't even caught up to him. And there's nowhere for McJukebox and his attack poodle with lipstick to go but DOWN.

Hear that? The fat lady's clearing her throat. She'll start warming up at the first debate. And she won't be singing for McJukebox.

McCain/Palin '08: the also-rans.

Yes I am saying that my personal

experiences are much superior to the polls. But you can continue living in Obamaconbizzarro world and pretend that racist America will elect a black man president.

You really ARE deluded, aren't you?

Are you off your Aricept again? Or do they need to increase your Cogentin dosage?

McCain/Palin '08: the also-rans.

Huffy

Your experience is superior to the polls sounds like a tall claim.
The fact is Mr. and Mrs Powerandpayback aren't smiling. And until they do it means Obama is in it.

"you have polls from early Sept"

Umm...it IS early September. The numbers I cited were TODAY'S data.

You're really desperate, aren't you? And so shrill...can dogs still hear you?

McCain/Palin '08: the also-rans.

Don't know about dogs...

But there's been a real noticeable lack of bats over this summer...

give me lever, and a place to stand...

maybe its just you and the people you know

who are racist. each of us has only a small circle. polls hit literally thousands of people, from random walks of life all over the state, so I trust them over you and the 20-25 people you talk to who you claim are racist. I'll even give you the few hundred you probably run into at the store and such as you go about town, hearing them make blatant racist remarks etc...

I'll take the polls over that. Definitely.
