Clout! Halloween Edition

By RichardGreene

We spent time with Brent Budowsky, the most inside of Washington insiders, reviewing the list of scariest inside-the-beltway types. His call to action to what many see as fearful Democrats fits the Halloween theme as well.

Read Brent's latest post at TheHill.com

Then, it was time for David Icke, controversial writer and speaker on global conspiracies. His website is DavidIcke.com.

And Soft Skull Press founder and founder of Vox Pop in Brooklyn, as well as a journalist and activist Sander Hicks joined us for the final segments of the show.  Links to all of Sander's endeavors are at SanderHicks.com.

The Shreveport FBI, instead of investigating, has acted… suspiciously.

...

Mohammed Jamal Khan, the blonde albino Saudi/Pakistani who introduced Graham to 9/11 terrorists in year 2000, comes off as a very slick character. Born in Saudi Arabia, he moved to his family’s “kingdom in northern Pakistan at age 12. His spoken English, however, sounds like Arnold Schwarzenegger’s, the accent is German or Austrian. “I was a pilot we learn, a detail coming from out of nowhere as he denies to Graham a documented recent conviction for illegal possession of an assault rifle. He explains that to stay in the USA, he was recently married “a girl from Texas it lasted “3-4 months. It ended when her grown children wanted to drive his “new, black, GMC truck the Arnold accent bragging “it was fouhr by fouhr, fooohly loaded!

When Graham reminds Jamal Khan that he was already married in Pakistan, Jamal Khan laughs uproariously, nervously slapping Graham “five and then making this explanation, “FBI tried to convict me of that one…he had no chance to convict me because I have a lot of people, back-up, from Washington, I already told you.

Graham: “You have friends in Washington?

“I told you if something comes up, a lot of friends, political friends, American friends…my ambassador there. Later, Khan explains, “Khan family is high-class people, I’m Khan family, real Khan family. Back in Pakistan, he said the family owned farms and factories. “We are famous people, famous like famous.

This video was shot March 8, 2003, and Khan was eager to distance himself from the 9/11 terrorists who had died less than two years previous. “I hate those people, those Muslim people…[it’s a] poor mentality. But Graham leads the conversation to the October 6, 2000 high school football game he had taken Khan to with his friend Bud Williams. Khan remembers the game, and the meeting with young Arabs he was at with Graham a couple days later. At this point, Graham is careful not to ask leading questions. It’s Jamal Khan who first brings up 9/11 and the fact that his old friends were among the 19 hijackers (or perhaps “hijackers should be used with quotation marks, depending on how deeply you doubt the official story.)

Graham plays dumb, so Jamal Khan breaks the news, “Those people is gone. What happened? September 11th happened.

Graham: “What did September 11th have to do with it?

“September 11th happened, they were asking me, who were those people? Those people are—Dr. Habeeb, that’s why I think that the FBI asked Dr. Habeeb too. ‘Do you know Mohammed Jamal?’ I did not know Dr. Habeeb, Dr. Habeeb I just met here, in the Mosque. ...

9/11, Five Years Later:
The Official Story Falls Apart.

State Department, Media Launch Assault on 9/11 Dissent
by Sander Hicks

Five-time Emmy award winning journalist Peter Lance just wrote Triple Cross about the funky CIA connections of bin Laden’s right-hand man, Ali Mohamed. Triple was turned into a documentary at the National Geographic TV channel, but before it was broadcast Aug. 28, Lance removed his name from the film. “They hijacked my work, he told reporters, “The feds have gotten to them, there is no doubt.

Author Mike Ruppert has sold 30,000 copies of Crossing the Rubicon, a study of 9/11, but after his offices were repeatedly burglarized, he expatriated himself to Venezuela, swearing never to return to the U.S. On Aug. 16, the anti-Zionist, right-leaning journalist and 9/11 researcher Christopher Bollyn was arrested and bloodied by Chicago police, for asking them why three men in an unmarked car were monitoring his house. Bill O’Reilly bent to a new (and criminal) low this summer by making death threats against Kevin Barrett, professor and co-founder of 9/11 Scholars for Truth.

The censorship and the violence come from the same place: an intense desperation. America is out on a limb in Iraq. We are there, in part, in the name of an attack used to motivate us for war. But five years later, that attack gives people gnawing feelings of betrayal. America is writhing in the birth pangs of a new way to see itself. The State Department and media are holding their hands up in front of a tsunami. People are beginning to reject the deathly falsity of the war in Iraq and the “war on terror. Who knows how this will translate in the mid-term elections, but pro-impeachment progressives and third party candidates stand to gain big.

A Zogby poll from this summer shows mainstream opinion 42 percent against the official story, claiming deliberate cover-up. Ten percent are undecided. According to a widely-cited August 14 poll by Ohio University and Scripps Howard News Service, 36 percent of Americans believe U.S. government officials “either assisted in the 9/11 attacks or took no action to stop the attacks because they wanted to go to war in the Middle East. Something is not right with 9/11. It was never right: from the president’s non-response on Sept. 11, 2001, to the GOP abuse of New York City for their convention, to the president’s recently announced plans to visit Ground Zero this Sept. 11, five years later. ...

AL QAEDA

http://www.sanderhicks.com/chapter9.html

...

Former National Security Advisor Richard Clarke described Al Qaeda as "...part of an international political network...hiding behind a religious sect."67 American culture (with its Christian foundations rooted deep in the dominant subconscious) tends to identify Al Qaeda as devotees of the "other" religion, Islam. But Clarke's suggestion here is that the religious aspects of the movement are a disguise.

Let's take that analysis one step further. Where did the name "Al Qaeda" come from? It's a relative newcomer to the international lexicon, supposedly the invention of the moderate Mujahedeen leader Abdullah Azzam in 1989. Yet it didn't appear in the U.S. media until 1996, and it didn't gain traction until after the August 1998 Embassy bombings.

"Al Qaeda" is a curious choice for the name of a revolutionary group: literally it means "the base" but it can also imply "the bottom," "the anus," or something having to do with menstruation. The Arabic root word is "qaf-ayn-dal." It can mean a camp or a home, a foundation; but also a rule, principle, formula, or method. It's been suggested that Azzam, the spiritual mentor to bin Laden, "was talking about a mode of activism and a tactic, not talking about a particular organization."68

According to Montreal professor R.T. Naylor:

"Al Qaeda itself does not exist, except in the fevered imaginations of neo-cons and Likudniks, some of whom, I suspect, also know it is a myth, but find it extremely useful as a bogeyman to spook the public and the politicians to acquiesce in otherwise unacceptable policy initiatives at home and abroad. By those terms, Al Qaeda is cast like 'the Mafia' and similar nonsense coming from police lobbies."69

Top BBC documentarian Adam Curtis broadcast his three-part television film "The Power of Nightmares," in early 2005 on British TV, and pointed out the similarities between "Al Qaeda" and the American neo-conservative agenda. Both are willing to use religion as propaganda, while ignoring the moral principles at the core of the respective faiths. Both worked together to fight the Soviets in Afghanistan. Both headed off in separate directions after the Mujahedeen civil war, but with a full head of steam and a strategy of violence and rule-by-fear. In both cases, that strategy didn't result in the massive followings both movements longed for. Curtis points out that the Islamists then turned to terrorism, in a desperate and doomed attempt to win the people over to their side. Likewise, the neo-cons also thrive off this same terrorism, because fighting it justifies their existence.

MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD

Curtis's documentary is laudable. But he states that the term "Al Qaeda" is not the most accurate, without suggesting what terms are better. How should we refer to the organizational force of the Islamists that seeks to destroy the USA and create a global theocracy? That would be the "Muslim Brotherhood", in Arabic, "Al-Ikhwan Al-Moslemoon." The Brotherhood is a social, political network that ties together the political Right, the Nazis, the neo-cons, and Al Qaeda.

Muslim Brotherhood was started in 1928 in Egypt and has been involved in a variety of terrorist activities since (including the assassination of Egyptian President Anwar Sadat, and an earlier attempt on President Gamal Abdel-Nasser). Yet, it's not on the U.S. Treasury's watch list of terrorist organizations. Its history is mentioned, briefly, in The 9/11 Commission Report, buried in the 11th endnote of Chapter 2. When the Washington Post and Wall Street Journal reported on it, they didn't mention the well-documented links to wealthy neo-Nazis. The Washington Post did, however, quote a "former" CIA official who called the Brotherhood "the preeminent movement in the Muslim world... something we can work with." He warned that to alienate the organization "would be foolhardy in the extreme." 70 According to the Post, the CIA relies on the Brotherhood for intelligence.

"Mastermind of Terror" Khalid Sheikh Mohammed joined the Muslim Brotherhood at age sixteen. Mohammed Atta's father is a member, and researchers are almost certain that Atta himself was one as well. Atta was a member of a Muslim Brotherhood "unofficial base" when he joined an engineer's syndicate after studying architecture at Cairo University in 1990. Amanda Keller remembers Atta using the term of endearment "Brother" for his companion in Venice, Marwan Al-Shehhi, but not other Arabs. One of the Germans who partied with them in Key West, "Stephen," was also a "Brother."71

The strange death of Dr. David M. Graham

http://www.yesweekly.com/print.asp?ArticleID=2976&SectionID=18&SubSectio...

...

LeeAnne Scruggs, a dental hygienist from Shreveport, La., had immediately set out on Memorial Day weekend of 2004 for Lufkin, Texas, roughly two hours to the southwest, when she learned that her boss, Dr. David M. Graham, was clinging to life in a hospital bed after being rushed by ambulance from a roadside gas station.

By the time Scruggs reached Graham's bedside, the comatose dentist's lungs, heart and kidneys were being sustained by a machine. Later, he would be transported by helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.

"I was upset," she recalled. "I said, 'Somebody tried to hurt you. Who tried to hurt you?' He turned his head. He was in a coma for two weeks. It freaked me out."

Later, Graham emerged from the coma and though he would never walk again, he regained full command of his mental faculties - a development his friends regard as nothing short of a miracle. Graham told Scruggs he believed the FBI poisoned him. On Sept. 17, 2006, Graham would die in a nursing home in Shreveport. He was 67.

Asked who was responsible for her boss' poisoning, Scruggs said, "According to Dr. Graham, the FBI."

The dentist's son, 28-year-old David M. Graham, who is known by family and friends as Davey, said his father was treated for poisoning by ethylene glycol, an active ingredient in antifreeze. Graham spoke reluctantly to YES! Weekly.

"I know they treated it because he had all the symptoms of ethylene glycol poisoning," Graham said of his father's emergency medical treatment in Lufkin. "They hooked him up with a fifth of Everclear. It's the standard treatment. He literally had a guy go out and get a fifth of Everclear, and put it on a bag. And it saved his life. If they hadn't have done that, within an hour he would have been dead."

Graham the son contests Scruggs' assertion that his father held the FBI responsible for his sudden illness.

Who Killed Dr. David Graham? Complaint filed with DOJ

SHREVEPORT, LA - Thursday, October 18

http://www.ksla.com/global/story.asp?s=7229970&ClientType=Printable

9/11 researcher Sander Hicks is the one who just filed a complaint with the Inspector General's Office at the DOJ, asking for an investigation into Graham's death because, among other reasons, those close to him still live in fear. Hicks told us, "the family has been worried that there's going to be some kind of reprisal." ...

9/11 Researcher Sander Hicks Files Complaint with DOJ

Our suspicions were validated: there’s a huge story here. It’s almost overwhelming. The best way to summarize is to publish my complaint filed last week with the Department of Justice’s Office of the Inspector General.

If you support an investigation into the death of Dr. Graham, please say so, in the comments section, at the end. (Please send me your email, too, I may be doing some sort of activism around this. Mine is sander [at] voxpopnet.net)

Dear Inspector,

I am writing to request a special investigation into possible FBI corruption inside the Shreveport, LA. office. I have been researching the strange death of Dr. David M. Graham since I was passed his unpublished manuscript, last spring. This case is of the utmost importance, and is about to receive serious media attention.

NIST Admits Total Collapse Of Twin Towers Unexplainable

http://www.davidicke.com/content/view/9337/32/

In August 2006, NIST promised to scientifically evaluate whether explosive devices could have contributed to the 47-story building's collapse but no answers have been forthcoming.

In August of this year, James Quintiere, Ph.D., former Chief of the Fire Science Division of the National Institute of Standards and Technology, called for an independent inquiry into NIST's investigation of the collapse of the twin towers.

Quintiere said NIST's conclusions were "questionable", that they failed to follow standard scientific procedures and that their failure to address Building 7 belied the fact that the investigation was incomplete.

"This administration was seeking a massive expansion of presidential power and national security powers before 9/11. 9/11 was highly convenient in that case," George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley told Keith Olbermann on Countdown Monday night. "I'm not saying that they welcomed it, but when it happened, it was a great opportunity to seize powers that they have long wanted at the FBI."

Turley was responding to allegations aired last week by a former Qwest CEO that the National Security Agency approached telecoms as early as February 2001 about establishing secret mechanisms to spy on Americans. The former CEO, Joe Nacchio, said in court papers related to an insider trading conviction that the government withdrew lucrative contracts from his company after he raised legal objections to the proposed spy program.

Earlier in the program, Olbermann invoked recent reports that the Pentagon used the FBI to issue secret national security letters allowing access to reams of data on Americans with even slim connections to the military.

"Does that essentially mean that I or you dial a wrong number and it happens to belong to somebody that's under investigation, the pentagon can go and get your information or my information as well?" Olbermann asked.

"They can. And you can thank the U.S. congress for that," Turley said, noting that the Patriot Act made it very easy for the FBI to issue the letters. "And what is astonishing is that the abuses of the NSLs are well documented. As soon as the FBI got this power that they were promising to use in the most judicious and cautious way, they abused it with abandon."

Toward the end of the segment, Turley noted the disconnect between the drive for expanded power, and the FBI and National Security Agency's inability to properly analyze intelligence before Sept. 11.

"The great irony, of course, with the NSA and the FBI is that their blunders help contribute to 9/11," he said, "but they radically expanded those powers as a result of that tragedy."

Where was Osama on September 11, 2001?

http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=viewArticle&code=CHO20060...

'On September 10. 2001, "Enemy Number One" was in a Pakistani military hospital in Rawalpindi, courtesy of America's indefectible ally Pakistan, as confirmed by a report of Dan Rather, CBS News. He could have been arrested at short notice which would have "saved us a lot of trouble", but then we would not have had an Osama Legend, which has fed the news chain as well as George W's speeches in the course of the last five years.

According to Dan Rather, CBS, Bin Laden was hospitalized in Rawalpindi. one day before the 9/11 attacks, on September 10, 2001. "Pakistan. Pakistan's Military Intelligence (ISI) told CBS that bin Laden had received dialysis treatment in Rawalpindi, at Pak Army's headquarters.'

Michael Cherthoff's Star-Crossed Past

http://www.davidicke.com/content/view/8258/32/

DHS has a $32 billion budget, 180,000 employees, and jurisdiction over immigration, customs and transportation security, the Coast Guard, the Secret Service and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

The question of Chertoff's dual-nationality doesn't seem to have concerned a single U.S. senator.

Many have wondered who let the detained suspected Israeli agents go back to Israel, immediately after 911. Apparently it was Michael Chertoff.

"Chertoff allowed scores of suspected Israeli terrorists and spies to quietly return to Israel . In several cases, Israeli suspects working for phoney moving companies, such as Urban Moving Systems from Weehawken, N.J., were caught driving moving vans which tested positive for explosives. On September 14, Dominic Suter, the owner of the moving company, which was found to be a Mossad front company, fled to Israel after FBI agents requested a second interview.

One group of 5 Israelis was seen on the roof of Urban Moving Systems videotaping and celebrating the destruction of the World Trade Center. These Israeli agents were returned to Israel on visa violations.

These Israeli suspects, and others, who had apparently transported explosives in the New York area, were allowed to return to Israel without being properly interrogated or their presence and activities in the United States having been vigorously investigated." (1)

What is publicly available about Chertoff's life and his various careers is not comforting, if you care about either law or justice-and it's especially troubling if you demand a depth of character from those who occupy the highest offices in this land. Ah but then this is the Cheney-Bush Era of Empire, so that 'quaint idea' is probably now completely without merit.

"Chertoff is credited with authoring the Patriot Act, the 300-plus page blueprint for the modern National Security State; patterned to great extent on the successes of the KGB in the Soviet system. He's admired among his Bush cadres for making sure that government surveillance operates at maximum efficiency. Under his stewardship at the Dept of Justice, the 4th amendment has withered like summer grass. The long-held belief that citizens, have a right to a "reasonable expectation of privacy" has buckled under the demands of "Big Brother" and the new "intrusive" security paradigm."

Israelis Kill 892 Palestinian Kids

http://www.davidicke.com/content/view/8460/32/

' . . . on the BBC the Israeli military stated that the killing of Yehya, Mahmoud and Sarah was an accident: 'at the very last second, it was apparent that they were children, but it was impossible to stop the explosion.' There was no mention of holding accountable the soldiers who killed them or at the very least any offer of support to the families and the community. They cannot leave their area, or their land, as they have nowhere else to go.'

Hey Richard.

Hey, Im not real up on this, but saw something and wondering....

What's the deal with the "Council On Foreign Relations", are they like the Illuminati or something? Some version of the movie "Caddyshack"'s "Bushwood Country Club" Meets "Eyes Wide Shut" crossed with a little Skull and Bones? And what... isnt it... isnt it like every canidate right now running for President at one time or another is or was a member? Except like Gravel, Kucinich, and Paul int it?

www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Council_on_Foreign_Relations /wiki/___

Notable current council members, Gores not on the list.

well, shoot, his daughter is..... hmmmm, well I dont know....

Madeleine Albright (former United States Secretary of State)

Is that why these Illuminati sex cults need to invade all

these little countries to secure sources of oil? They have so many sex parties with so many members, many of them with dry skin, they need a lot of lube? Petro-chemical hydro-carbon oil orgies? Like the Christmas Critters evil Forest creatures from "South Park"'s Satanic blood orgies? And so they need lots of lube?

Hey, on the writers strike, in Hollywood,

I heard that all the writers want, cause of internet shows where like an advertisers ad is on but the moneys not trickleing down to the writers is like 2% of those pies, and really... no one anywhere  can find anyone who is really against it. The problem from higher up seems to be, the job of just getting all the legal wrangling and dividing up of shares is so complicated from so many different outlets of access that no one knows how to do it easily and this might take months. Just the tracking down and figures and servers and software and buyers will need months to sort out to make it happen. So there you go. I guess...
