It’s Monday, good people of the Kuby nation, and we are back to the grind with the following stories:

Iran continues to top headlines, this morning’s news being that Iran has admitted there may have been a discrepancy in voting, and the Revolutionary Guard has come out threatening protestors. All this while Israel’s leaders are showing support for the protestors, asking if this might signal an end to theocratic rule. Ron will check in Washington Times reporter Barbara Slavin about the latest in the region.

In other news, New York Times reporter David Rhode and local reporter Tahir Lubin have escaped from the Taliban, after being held for seven months. The details are still unfurling, but what has become evident in the days since their escape is the media blackout that occurred, with no one breaking the silence for seven long months.

Happy Friday good people of the Kuby nation- here’s what’s happening:

Iran is still in a state of chaos, though Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has come out to both warn the opposition to stay out of the streets and to say the elections were not rigged. This, while in Washington, they are debating about Obama’s response to the situation- too soft? Too quiet?

And in SCOTUS news, the court ruled that convicts will not be allowed to get DNA testing to prove their innocence after they’ve been convicted, and some are taking the view that it is slamming individual rights. The high court also made a ruling that makes age bias lawsuits more difficult to win.

It’s Elimination Night On 'So You Think You Can Dance' (VIDEO)

Yay! Tonight is extra special because we get double eliminations on two different network shows. First, we get to say goodbye to two of the eighteen dancers that are left on So You Think You Can Dance. After last night’s episode, Philip, Caitlin and Evan should be worried. If it were up to me, I’d eliminate Lil’C as a Judge. I’d rather go deaf to Mary Murphy’s glass-shattering screams than listen to another one of Lil’Cs “dance is a language” comments.

Also, two of the remaining cast members from "I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here" will be leaving the jungle tonight. I hope they keep Patti B and Janice around since they’re the only people remotely interesting to watch. Let’s be honest, Holly (Heidi’s sister) is a waste of space. With Speidi back in the Hills writing a book about how to get famous by being a horrible person, does it really matter if Holly’s on the show anymore? Sanjaya’s young, his heart will mend in time. Lou and John are both immune from elimination, so we’ll be seeing them next week.

Good people of the Kuby nation… Thursday brings with it the following headlines:

Iran remains in a state of upheaval, and the opposition now has a face. The question remains of who Iran’s clerics will back, and if Obama will speak on the turmoil as the White House works to figure out what the best response is to the troubled country.

Also remaining on A-1, Obama’s financial regulation plan: he is getting flack from all sides on it, and polls are for the first time showing that his once soaring approval numbers are declining.

And for some news you can use, PETA is horrified that Obama killed a fly, a man clones his beloved rescue dog FIVE times, and a New York man has been charged withimpersonating his dead mom.

Good people of the Kuby nation…We are beyond excited to welcome Washington DC as the newest member of the Air America family- we begin broadcasting live there today at AM 1050!

Wednesday welcomes you all, and here’s what’s happening:

Iran continues to dominate the news cycle with the latest in it’s presidential election fallout: Iranian authorities continue to crackdown on coverage of the election protests, and may try to restrict online media, this while rival factions stage more rallies. And Obama’s team admits that Twitter could play an historic role in Iran, giving Iranians access to worldwide communication about the goings on.

And in beltway news, Obama is set to roll out new rules for financial institutions, regulating the way Wall Street does business. Though the rules are expected to create a major buzz, some think they are not as bold as critics would have wanted. Obama also announced he will add some benefits (though not full health insurance) to same-sex partners of federal workers.
