While 22 million viewers tuned into the World Series, Laura and Jenna Bush made a quiet appearance on "The Jay Leno Show" on NBC. The former First Lady, who was celebrating her 63 birthday, joined her daughter Jenna for one of Leno's "Ten @ Ten" rapid-fire question segments. Laura even dodged an awkward reference to pornography made by Jay when plugging her memoir.
After Laura Bush told Jenny and Jay she'd be titling her memoir, "Formerly Shy Librarian Tells All," Leno quipped: "Wow I like that. I think, uh, you know something--I think if I'm not mistaken, Kevin our band leader has that video."
Though Mrs. Bush politely laughed, like every good daughter, Jenna called her out. "Mom, why are you laughing? You don't know what that joke means!"
To which Laura Bush admitted, "No, I don't. I have no idea."
Check out the video for the rest of Jenna's questions:

"Oh, yes, we Bushes are so wholesome and American...why we raised two lovely daughters who scored hooch and crack under the noses of their secret service detail, and were thrown out of a South American country for their antics. And their daddy, my wonderful husband, is responsible for the deaths of nearly 5,000 US servicepersons and who knows how many Iraqis while trying to secure Iraq's oil for his friends in the oil business!"
Great fun for the square crowd.
