Britney Spears has hit a bit of a speed bump with her Australian tour--before it's even begun. An Australian official is lobbying for Spears to let concert goers know if she'll be lip-synching any of her songs.

The AFP reports:

Reports that she will lip-sync during many of the concerts prompted the New South Wales Minister for Fair Trading to suggest tickets should carry disclaimers about whether parts of the concerts were pre-recorded.

Australians would not tolerate a "Mickey Mouse performance", Virginia Judge told Sydney's Daily Telegraph in reference to the US star's past as one of Disney's Mouseketeer personalities.

"Let's be clear -- live means live," she said.

Spears' "Circus" tour is set to kick off Friday.

Moderator, how does "lorry" keep getting in here?

My guess is that most solo artists today lip-synch for most of their performances. Keeps squaks from happening. Unfortunately it sometimes results in an Ashlee Simpson moment on SNL. Why are the Aussies so worked up about this?
