Editorial Internship
Air America Media is the nation’s leading progressive media network, representing a smart, entertaining and independent political voice on-air and online. Rachel Maddow, Montel Williams, Chuck D, Ron Reagan, and Lionel among others, provide insightful commentary infusing Air America’s wit and insight into daily topics in the news.
Air America Media is looking to immediately fill internship openings in the editorial department. Interns will have the opportunity to participate from the ground level up at a fast-paced media organization with hands-on experience in content creation, aggregation, and breaking news. Sections include: News, Politics, Lifestyle, Entertainment, Economy, Green, and Really?
Job Description: Tasks include actively searching for and covering breaking news stories, copy-editing, art selection, creating photo galleries, pitching story ideas, and participating in all aspects of Air America Media's online news content creation.

Students are encouraged, but not required to take the internship for academic credit with your college/university and must provide official documentation upon acceptance of this internship. Minimum commitment of 12-15 hours per week for 12 weeks.
Digital Marketing Internship
Air America Media, the nation’s leading progressive media network, is looking to immediately fill several internship openings on the Digital Marketing Team in our national headquarters in New York City. Interns will have the opportunity to participate from the ground level up at a fast-paced media organization and learn how to create social media benchmarks, manage content promotion through social media and help improve the over all brand awareness of Air America.
Job Description: Digital Marketing Interns will support Air America Media with online public relations, social media marketing and other tasks as needed.
Requirements: All applicants should be active users of social networks and interested in leveraging new media.

Radio Programming Internship

Air America Media is looking to immediately fill a variety of internship openings in our national headquarters in New York City. Interns will have the opportunity to participate from the ground level up at a fast-paced media organization. Multiple positions are available year-round for students interested in radio programming.
Job Description: Possible tasks Programming Interns will work on are journalism and writing for AirAmerica.com, research, booking guests, picking topics, show preparation and other tasks as needed. (Students with Final Cut Pro experience, will be considered for an internship with a Video-focus.)
