Read about more proof that John McCain caters to lobbyists. He pushed a land swap that helped his backer.
A Republican sex scandal found some resolution yesterday as an ethics panel clear LA Senator David Vitter of wrong doing did nothing wrong with that call girl. His wife quietly agrees.
The rule of late is that there must always be a republican sex scandal. So with Vitter’s wrapping up, NY Rep. Vito Fosella moves into the spotlight. After a drunk driving arrest led to a string of discoveries, we now know he's kept a mistress and bastard child for over three years. Details here, with a photo of the little tyke.

It’s macabre and it makes no sense. So click the link and explain it to us. A teenager decapitated a corpse to use it for smoking marijuana. How?

I think I know what Lionel is too smart to say, and I agree....this is not anti-Obama, he shouldn't have to wear a flag pin, Lord knows, but he is looking like he is going to go the way of Gore-Kerry. The Rev. Wright thing alone, did he not see this coming? When I saw that clip, I said man, it's all over. What was Obama's plan, if any, when this saw the light of day? Look, I'm to the left of Karl Marx, I agree with every g-d thing Rev. Wright says, but you have got to WIN THE ELECTION first, and Obama, the way he has looked to me all along, has losing proposition written all over it. And I like Obama! I wish he could be our next president, and it's a tragedy that he WOULD be so great, but you can bet the Refuclicans are so much happier with Obama than Hillary. Unfortunately, get ready for Bush's third term people, and if I hear ANYONE blame Hillary when he loses, you'll get a knuckle sandwich from me

By the jaco pastor...May 10, 2008 - 12:39pmYour responses to the lady-caller who was talking about bankrupt
cy: Whatever the woman DID know, you discounted, for your own reasons. Your point about how most voters are all about their feelings and not enough about knowledge is partly the product of how you are treating them.
I agree people SHOULD know more, but I also think that in order to get them to learn more, at least some of those who do meet your standards for worthy discourse, including yourself, should respect emotional understanding more, rather than trying to force everyone to conform to what you think. Afterall Lionel, you demonstrate your feelings constantly and all of us listen, with whatever respect we are capable of mustering, even though it borders on boring sometimes. I think you owe as much to your callers.
"...And where there had been just a makeshift hut to receive the music,
A shelter nailed up out of our darkest longing,
With an entry-way that shuddered in the wind,
You built a temple deep inside their hearing."
R.M. Rilke
