I agree, we need a mass letter writing campaign against each Congressperson who is behaving like Lieberman, AND A MASS CALLING DAY...Lieberman is a traitor to his states people and his party.. His commercials paid for by the health companies FLOOD the TV...Health care is a shame here and worse , congress is doing this to ALL OF US! They literally sold us our for money.
..and I thought slavery was abolished? We are enslaved to the Banks who change rules and rates as they pleased and then deny us a loan even w/ excellent credit..Congress did NOTHING about this. I even wrote Dodd, he didn't even answer. Reform? What credit card reform? What health reform? Health Care for ALL, Obama swore.where is it? He compromised his promise and OUR health too right off of the bat and I voted for hope...
WE NEED A THIRD PARTY NOW, RIGHT NOW! ONE THAT REALLY SWEARS OFF CORPORATIONS AND THEIR BLOOD MONEY, PERIOD AS A POLICY.
I now know where Obama , Emanuel , Blue dogs and the centrists stand and it is no where close to what Obama promised in his campaign speeches to say the least..
When we bring out the BS which Obama and the democrats are pushing compared to the promises they promised to receive our funds , support and votes,, we are attacked by our own democrats...
I did not vote for Obama as a person , I voted for Obama on his promises and he is now full of BS>>>
Obama never started bring home the troops in Iraq as soon as he took office as he promised.
Obama never repelled the tax cuts Bush gave to the wealthy.
Obama never renegotiated the free trade bill as he promised..(has now outsourced over 7 million jobs)
Just these three items which he promised would not only secure a single payer option by would start putting main street back on their feet instead of Wall street and the rest of their businesses overseas.
I knew as soon as I saw that Obama had selected Emanuel to be his top advisor along with the other meat heads we were in trouble.. Remember Emanuel was the person that attack Dean for not given more funds to the (republican) candidates he selected to run on the democratic ticket.
It now looks as if Emanuel has told Grayson that he would cut DNC support and political funds from him , if he does not tune it down about the health care..
Why would Grayson made the statement that this corporate health bill (as far as I am concern) now called a public option is ok..
It will only include only 2% of Americans and If will be RUN by these Private Insurance companies..
If this bill pass there is no way in I could vote for any democrat who voted for it.. The republicans are playing a game by saying they are against it... They are ok with this bill because it only benefits the health empire and if they do not vote for it the Democrats will take full blame for it when it exposes in their faces...
This is the same bill that Obama , Emanuel , Baucus , blue dogs and centrists have the committee to developed from the very beginning.. They selected the persons which they knew would create and push the corporate bill In which the health & Drug companies gave them..
This bill is a photo op for the Obama and the democrats which does not a thing tor 98% of Americans and does everything in the world to transfer more wealth and power to these Global health Empires..
They will charging Americans more, for less and taxing your benefits.
Well does anyone see an up side to the corporate written bill.. In my state the pharmaceutical companies are advertizing for citizens to tell their senators to vote for it...
(unless there is something I am missing in the ad that they run 24/7).
America has the worst healthcare indices among ALL industrialized countries and needs Congressional Representatives like Alan Grayson. People who oppose Universal Healthcare and have no viable substitute are of similar ilk to those whom opposed integration at all levels. Ignorant, bigotted and both. Some are placing their unhealthy lust for money above the health of people. None of these things is new but they need to be discussed in terms that are certain; no veiled issues or double entendres; just facts. Thank you Mr Grayson. Hopefully you will get some of the lemmings and sheep of the insurance masters to assume the responsibility that they promised voters prior to their election.
Why Silverlight? Why not MP3? Are you getting money from Microsoft?
Not only do I not *want* to download yet *another* player for yet *another* audio format, but apparently I can't. I get this:
====
One moment, please, while the current Silverlight installation status is determined...
Only version 1.0 of Microsoft Silverlight supports the Macintosh PowerPC.

This is a person who stands up for what the Liberal Democrats believe. F all the Republicans Obama should stand up and take control of this debate. A SINGLE PAYER SYSTEM. I work in Healthcare and it is a mess. Who can figure out what company pays what. As for Wall St. They should lock them down and start from scratch. This man Rep. Grayson is on the money. Stop wasting our time, Money and most importantly our children in Afghanistan and Iraq. Bring them home and let them build our infrastructure and secure our borders. We are not nation builders. Let us build our own nation it's falling apart in case no one is watching. Cheney, Limbaugh and the rest of those maniacs are as dangerous as the jihadists. Their fanatical and want this administration to fail. Shame on them, Shame on our country.
I wish that more of our elected officials were more gutsy, ALA Grayson! He has not lied when he spoke any of the "outrageous" statements that the reicht have so roundly criticized.
Yes. The (R)'s have NO PLAN to improve our health-care system. Nothing that won't make the CEO's wallets fatter, anyways.....
Yes. We don't really NEED any (R)'s to vote yea on a bill that contains a robust public option. Make them filibuster if they are so inclined.
And YES....there are a LOT of "Corporate Whores" sitting in congress and the senate.....Might as well start calling them out!
BOOYAH!
Rep. Alan Grayson is a hero to me and all Americans who value strength, courage and *true* morality, (which has less to do with undue preoccupation w/people's sex lives, let alone judging anyone for his/her sexual orientation, and Much to do w/caring about people and their suffering).
I just went to Rep. Grayson's website to pledge that i will donate $25.00 to him on 11/2/09. I know it's a very very small amount, but it makes me feel extremely good to give my money to a man who is taking a stand for all of us.
Nov. 2nd is the last day of Mexico's *Day(s) of the Dead* holiday, I think, and it's also "All Souls Day" in the Catholic Church. Therefore, in honor of those dead (and dying) from lack of health care reform, all those that Rep. Grayson speaks of so movingly, and with such deep moral conviction, I intend to honor my pledge to Rep. Grayson with these people in mind, on that day. These people who have died and are dying and will die because this country has not figured out yet, that health care is a RIGHT, not a privilege, for ALL of us.

Okay, for some reason, my comments failed to register; this is a test, then....
oh good.
"dissenting opinions" from the trolls.
Grayson is a nut.
@ HEALTHCARE
Nice thoughts. I agree, but until several dozen Congresscritters and Senators find themselves having to sell their homes to obtain catastrophic health care for a relative or themselves, I fear nothing will change. In spite of all the talk of a "public option," the insurance industry will successfully lobby (read: place money in the pockets of key senators and representatives) to water down the initiative with "triggers" or "cooperatives" or needless bureaucracy to make a public option that passes our legislative process ineffectual.
The only solution that will work is to organize a grassroots campaign to let all 535 voting members of Congress know that if they do not answer the call posed to them by more than 50% of polled Americans from both sides of the political spectrum, that they will face defeat in their next re-election cycle. This approach worked when the Chimp's SecTreas attempted to receive $750B with no strings attached last year, and it can work again.
VOTE AGAINST ANY CONGRESSCRITTER WHO OPPOSES HEALTH CARE FOR ALL
One thing I don't understand about this whole argument: According to Obama, there are only 30 million uninsured American"s. According to published reports, the bills currently "winding"their way through congress would still leave about 29 million uninsured. WTF?
