Why Michele Bachmann Is Like Jack's Five-Year-Old (AUDIO)

As some form of health care reform nears passage, folks on the far right are getting increasingly frantic. Enter Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), who pitched a real tantrum in an interview with the Washington News Observer. She pulled random and baseless statistics out of thin air, then said that health care reform means the government decides whether you live or die and that it represents "the socialization of America." In fact Bachmann got so worked up, it reminded Jack of a member of his own family.

The media could cure the madness by not giving space for lunatics like this to spew hate and lies. Guess the media can't resist since it's like watching a train wreck to see the gore or rubbernecking at an automobile accident hoping to get a glance at the blood. If intelligent people refused to watch shows or news events featuring these idiots, the media would let them bury themselves in their own crap.
sometimes I wonder how people like these were raised as a kid. were they not taught right from wrong, lies vs truth, black and white. or their parents just let them fend for themselves as they grow up, to decide what is right or what is wrong given their own ideas of how things work.
I guess we only have to blame their parents for people like these who imagine things out of their butts!

I also live in Bachmann's district, (small world, eh?), and I think the only reason she squeaked by last time was that Tinklenberg was a poor candidate. I met him, and to me, he just oozed the oily politician. If one of our state reps had run against her, she probably would have gone down in flames.
Yes, in some ways she and Palin and Beck, et al, are dangerous, but the number of folks they appeal to is shrinking with every goofy pronouncement they make. You aren't going to pull in the vital independent vote by ranting bizarre conspiracy theories and easily disproven lies. Without independents, neither party can win a majority, but for repubs, it is far more important, as less than 20% of people now identify themselves as repubs. So, if they want to win, they have to pick up almost every independent to win anything other than scattered districts.
She is dangerous and should not be taken lightly, just as Sarah Palin shouldn't be taken lightly. Look at Boehner aquiessing to them on the NY-23 race? Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann are the new face of the Republican party and will fight to the 'death' for what they believe (or make up). Bachmann and Beck are disinfo agents, they are both designed to distract the pinheads in society, appealing to their ignorance and fear.
In the real world, Bachmann would have either been laughed out of congress or institutionalized. If all goes well, she will experience both next year.
