I could probably live without the bombastic intro music (in fact, it makes me cringe) on "Race for the White House" and referring to the studio as "The War Room." So CNN after it went bad..

I accepted Rachel as my personal savior (along with Lou Reed when I was younger) because she's smart enough that she doesn't need all the framing and packaging.

Over the last 8 years the world has been subjected to a stream of American
jingoist bullshit. Even more so than in the preceding 50 years.
Even the so-called "liberal" Rachel Maddow doesn't seem to understand she
is insulting every not-Amuuuurican on the planet.
Allow me to give you a few examples:
1) The endless wining about "supporting the trooooooops".
Every week Mr. Reickoff gets all the time he needs to talk about this subject.
Maybe equal time should be given to the Iraqi point of view?
The GI-bill: Why should murderous mercenaries be rewarded?
Maybe a bill to give everybody the opportunity to go to college could be an
option? This would have the added benefit that having a larger part of the
population college educated would make it more difficult to stampede the
American people into another bloody, illegal, aggresive war.
2) The emphasis on "spying on the Amuuurican people".
For years the American government has been spying on everybody
not-Amuuurican. Google echelon.
Heeeelllloooooo, we are people too.

The Congressional Democratic leadership is a failure - they haven't done anything - can you have some shows highlighting the lack of courage displayed by the Democratic Leadership. What have they done about securing and verifying the ballot, it won't matter much who the Candidate is if the ballot is rigged again...... they are already trying to make the American people think that it is a close race - there is no way that John McCain is even within 20 points in the polls - yet they claim he can beat any Democrat.... the fix is in!!

Disclaimer 1: If forced to choose, I'd pick BHO over HRC...but since this is still America, I'm likely going to vote for RN (no, not Richard Nixon; he's dead, a fact of which some apparently need to be reminded) or, as a registered Green, CAM (take a guess). This will especially be my choice if Oregon goes heavily for the skinny, jug-eared kid come November, which probably will be the case. Why is "Just in case" a justification for staying in the race at all? She's clearly long been the natural successor in the case of a tragedy. The Obama campaign hasn't once said she should get out. Why isn't "Everyone should have the chance to vote" good enough? Why is she searching for other reasons? Is it because there is some other reason in her mind other than democracy?

The whole thing makes me sick, and it makes no sense.
