LISTEN: Montel Calls Out Senator Lieberman Over His Newfound Worry About Our National Debt

Monday November 9, 2009 1:07 p.m.

Yesterday on Fox News Sunday, Senator Joe Lieberman (I-CT) repeated his threat of a filibuster if the Senate health reform bill contains a public option.  His reasoning is that the public option is not as a threatening issue to the American people as our national debt.  It would saddle our kids and grandkids with even more debt.

Montel has a response to Senator Lieberman.  If you're so worried about the debt right now, how about we end these wars we're stuck in.

"P.S. I Think that this bill is a pig on the basis of the fact that it requires people to buy private insurance, and if they can't afford it, we taxpayers will subsidize the premiums."

Fitter called this one right.

We're subsidizing our working class enemy and Bob Jackson has been duped, again.

Stop talking about Joe Lieberman like he is relevant,. You people are perpetuating myths!

Health Care can get passed in the Senate through the reconciliation process. There you only need 50 Democrats to vote "Aye" and there are 57 Democrats who will vote "Aye" on a bill with a public option.

Lieberman, Snowe, Bauchus, and the rest of them are just not relevant. Stop perpetuation myths and tell people to call their senators and demand a reconciliation vote now.

Every day Republicans waste with their nonsense in the Senate gets more and more Americans killed. Republicans have already killed tens of thousands of Americans just this year alone with their delay tactics and theatrics. Enough is enough.

Bob Jackson @ 3.......

WTF are you talking about? Don't you understand that the skyrocketing costs of healthcare (LARGELY due to insurance profits) is one of the biggest costs to employers in this country?

P.S. I Think that this bill is a pig on the basis of the fact that it requires people to buy private insurance, and if they can't afford it, we taxpayers will subsidize the premiums. It's a "compromise" that was written by insurers, and it STINKS.

So easily the young forget ...

After World War II, we left the war taxes in place. We used these taxes for the benefit of the American people (you know the ones--of the people, by the people, for the people.) We used these taxes to put a car in every persons home, a chicken in every pot, etc. We built dams for water, sewer systems for health, roads for travel, parks for recreation, created social security, public health services, libraries, national monuments, schools, etc. It was great! Some of this is still OK.

Today, they are still taking ALL these taxes and a LOT more, but "government" is now telling us we are going to have to pay for what we need, ourselves.

The only thing which has changed is priorities; with all the jobs going overseas, the illegal aliens, using prison labor, NAFTA, etc., we now need health care for our citizens. Are we paying for it? YES! Are some (and especially Joe Lieberman) attempting to deceive us and use OUR MONEY for THEIR PURPOSES? YES?

Wake up to reality; the crooks are in your wallet, again!

Regards,
JS

Joe is organically inclined to favor bills that kill lots of muslims and not favor bills that help Americans with health insurance.
