Congressman Randy "Duke" Cunningham Resigns

Eight-Term Republican Congressman, Randy "Duke" Cunningham resigned from office today. The Republican Congressman pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit bribery, mail fraud, wire fraud and tax evasion for underreporting his income in 2004. The "Duke" told U.S. District Judge Larry Burns he had accepted bribes from someone in exchange for his performance of official duties. Congressman Cunningham will be sentenced on February 27th. He could receive up to 10 years in prison.
