Ashcroft Now Serving Sanctimony, With A Side Of Sleaze

News:
Former U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft has joined the ranks of the nation’s lobbyists where, through the offices of The Ashcroft Group, he will be renting his self-described “integrity” to any client able to pony up the cash. In particular, Ashcroft plans to use his years of experience prosecuting corporate misconduct…to help misbehaving corporations avoid prosecution. Presumably, it’s what Jesus would do.

I'm Shocked!

After having "guarded" the governmnent hen house during his illustrious career as attorney general, Ashcroft has merged with the wolves. Despite the distracting blow job administered by the corporate media, I am certain an increasing number of people understand that these "conservatives" view government as a cash cow that serves no other purpose than lining the pockets of Jesus-blessed millionaires like Mr. Ashcroft. And when the freedom shouters trumpet their aversion to government, they are talking about its regulatory functions not its spending programs. Ashcroft has an intimate familiarity with regulation and oversight and will thus have a huge amount of insight into how to circumvent them.

Wealthy evangelicals like to say that "Jesus has been good to them." I have a sneaking suspician that Jesus is going to be real good to John Ashcroft.
