"The River," set in Bengal Province, along the Ganges River in INDIA, about the cycles of life and death, revolving about a British Family, a World War Two Disabled Relative of theirs, "Captain John," The Ever-RESOURCEFUL, Great Indian PEOPLE and Civilization, all about them, as trusted friends, the Young Poet-to-Be, "Harriet," and much more add to this albeit "corny" at times story, of human Life, Birth, Death, and most of all, RE-BIRTH(America's "Democracy," post the past 2-3 National "ElectionS," ah-hem, needs REBIRTH, needs a great, RECRUDESCENCE!), that nonetheless, Renoir's 1951 Movie, "The RIVER," remains in MY own top Ten list of Favorite Movies(alongside "JFK," speaking of a badly NEEDED REBIRTH, etcetera).

 I also "confess" to being ever-stirred and inspired by Sergei EISENSTEIN's movies, especially 1938's "ALEXANDER NEVSKY," which is also among my top ten favorites{ Yes, i "confess," ah-hem, to any Homeland "Security," possibly eavesdropping on Air America-COCKROACHES have far more personal "Honor," than do those that take 9/11's "somehow" allowed attacks[for hourS, on that "Date," in US History] as "their" CRIMINAL Pretext to spy on Groups like PETA{?!} and the ACLU, and possibly the Left in general, i.e. our true DEMOCRACY Champions, anathema to ALL that Al Queda[and OUR OWN "Christian"TALIBAN] stands for!).
