ECONOMISTS, HILLARY’S TROUBLE, and TALK RADIO

Reformed economic hit man, John Perkins, has a wonderful new book out. The Secret History of the American Empire: The Truth About Economic Hit Men, Jackals, and How to Change the World, like Perkins’ first book Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, reveals how US government policy wreaks havoc on foreign economies under the banners of fighting poverty, economic development an other benevolent causes when the real aim is to support US businesses.

On the impact of talk radio, the Obama campaign doesn’t get it. They’re pushing the possibility that Rush Limbaugh played a serious role in swaying voters to Hillary in the Indiana primary. In on one conference call an Obama aid said Limbaugh was a “clear factor in the race."

THE expert on talk radio, Michael Harrison, publisher of Talkers Magazine will explain why that is nonsense.

FROM THE ENDLESS CAMPAIGN

Pundits are declaring the democratic race over. But Hillary is proving she's no quitter. She continues to demonstrate just how scrappy, tenacious and determined she is by defying yet another seemingly insurmountable obstacle – the media.

Another media trend in campaign coverage is the statistical obsession with demographics. The Democratic vote has been divided by race, age, education and gender? Is this new, or just new data? Is this dangerous, or just filler for the 24/7 news cycle?

IN THE MELANGE

Al Sharpton and 216 of his closest friends were arrested in their attempt to "shut down” the New York City with civil disobedience in protest over the police acquittals in the Sean Bell shooting. What would you get arrested over?

The tragic death toll continues to rise in Myanmar. It will likely reach 100,000 fatalities. It is particularly frustrating because US aid is still not getting into the country.

JUST BECAUSE

Find out who said, "Will you lick my swizzle stick?" and other inappropriate comments on-air on the weather channel that have led to a sexual harassment lawsuit.

And much much more …

Very entertaining show today

Very entertaining show today, Lionel. I especially enjoyed the opening.
