Misconception about Obamma

My 62 year old mother just realized last week that her sister and her family harbor deep-seated bigotry towards Barack. She proudly wore an Obamma button to a family gathering and was shocked when her sister questioned why she would vote for a "black". My mother, to her credit, defended her position stating Barack represented many of the positions she supported. Her sister then retorted that he was part of a conspiracy of "the blacks to take over the world."

Now granted, this conversation took place in Indiana where I have heard is the birthplace of the KKK. Not to excuse this ignorance, as these are educated people, but it does speak to the entrenched bigotry that exists.
