Insulting "Not Ready" Language
This "not ready for it" language I've heard used by both Richard and the above poster is pretty insulting. It implies that those who "get it" are somehow more evolved than anybody too primitive to embrace it in all its new-agey glory.
Personally, I was "ready for it" as a teenager, and I accepted Christ as my savior. My path has taken me to explore other spiritual options over the course of a decade or so, and ultimately I returned to my original faith stronger than ever. I still struggle with it at times and I don't expect that this way will necessarily be the right one for others. Friends of mine were "ready for it" and embarked on pagan, agnostic, Muslim, Buddhist or atheist paths that give them peace and meaning. Good for them!
Likewise, good for you folks who have found peace through the writings of Tolle! But when you start putting others down for not connecting in the same way, you can snort my shorts.
