"Ready" - Response to Gary
Gary, you raise an important point. Let me define what I, at least, mean by "ready."
1. I totally appreciate your dedication to your spiritual path and personally do not distinguish between any path. The words of Jesus, or Buddha or Mohammed or any spiritual teacher who is plugged into the deeper truths of our existance are valuable. The interpretations many times are not.
2. Sounds to me that you are not only "ready" to go deeper in these realms, but that you already have. Long ago.
3. All I care about is that people be connected to that part of who we are that a) values peace above war, b) is committed to helping others and the planet, c) is focused on developing the spiritual qualities of unconditional love, compassion, joy, the unending evolution of one's own soul and all life.
4. It is for these reasons that I am a Democrat and work, every day, to bring those values to fruition in our country and our world.
5. If Eckhart Tolle or Reverend Wright or even Pastor Hagee can help someone evolve, than I am all for it. My personal experience is that there are some teachers who are blinded by ego more than others and are less "clear" however.
6. "Ready" means a focus on the multi-dimensional aspects of being a human being as opposed to just the superficial ones, regardless of where that readiness takes them.
