W's "Bushisms" are comedy that comes already written. Comedians haven't really had to do much to make fun of him. With Bill Clinton, comedians had to use his accent, his tendency to put on weight and his philandering to make fun of him. They are going to have to find traits about Obama to adopt and exaggerate. I can see lots of comedians copying his stentorian, oratorical style to deliver the most mundane messages for comedic effect.

My cartoon caricature for Barack Obama would be a giraffe. He's very tall and thin, and he is likable so a giraffe fits.

Remember that SNL sketch where Dan Ackroyd was Jimmy Carter taking calls from Americans with Walter Cronkite (I think portrayed by Bill Murray) where the joke was the depth of knowledge that Carter displayed on a wide range of topics. Carter was no bumbling moron, so they had to make fun of just how smart he was.

Comedians have had an easy road the past 8 years and that has probably been bad for the craft. If they have to be somewhat creative and insightful to lampoon President Obama, it will make them better comedians.
