Siegelman challenges Pelosi and Congress
In anticipation of Nancy Pelosi attending Netroots Nation and taking questions, I asked the Governor what he'd like to ask of the Speaker:
Seder – Not to put too fine a point on it, but tomorrow Nancy Pelosi will be here answering questions that have been submitted already. There may be some questions from the audience – if there was a question you'd like posed to Nancy Pelosi about this specific situation – a question or almost a question, what would it be?
Siegelman – Everybody here knows what it would be. If the House Judiciary does what we believe it will and should do, which is to support a motion for contempt citation. When that hits the Speaker's desk we want that pushed before Congress - the full House - we want a vote on it as quickly as possible. It's something that's important to our Democracy and it's important to this country. I think time is of the essence so we would want a quick response to a favorable motion to hold Karl Rove in contempt.
To help encourage the Speaker to hold Rove and the Bush administration accountable, Siegelman also announced the launching of a new website, ContemptforRove.com
Commenting on the implications of case, the Governor went on to say:
"if we want our rights to protect us, we've got to protect our rights."
An important sentiment, if the chief law enforcement agency of our government is using it's powers to punish those that stand in the way of their taking even more power are any of us really safe?

Excellent point Sam, sincerely. But, I'm gonna bitch for a sec
I've got a crush on Anderson Cooper ... 60min SCHMUCK!!!!!!!!
CNN mentioned the Keating 5 tonight (FRIDAY CYA ya think), that was hard segued into a battle between the Cindy and Mitchell. WTF!!!!!!
They've got 24 hours of airtime to burn, but choose to burry the defining story about McBush's campaign FELONY offense that he was given special treatment over because, what? He lost a million dollar aircraft, broke his arm while ejecting and sat out the Vietnam "POLICE ACTION" in the Hanoi Hilton by choice? WHAT?!!!!!! Oh, he's a HERO, RIGHT? WTF!!! (You know Bush 41 killed his whole crew when he ditched his plane in the war. Then comfortably sat the rest of it out too. FUCKEN BRILLIANT!!!)
CNN IS IN THE GOP's POCKET (via CFR mgmt), and to keep from being called out for being biased, can tout being FAIR and BALANCED as long as they show the balanced part when NOBODY'S WATCHING, ONCE!!!
What a country.
PS:
This is irrlevant too, right?
