Obama's "Controversial" Remarks Before Acknowledging Ft. Hood Shootings (VIDEO)

Right-wing bloggers are up in arms over President Obama giving a "shout out" to a Congressional Medal of Honor winner before addressing the Ft. Hood Shootings yesterday, comparing Mr. Obama's actions to President Bush continuing to read My Pet Goat to a class of children as he heard about the 9/11 attacks.

I voted for Kerry back in 04 and Obama in 08. However, i agree with the right wingers on this one. He did not portray a personality like that of a President.
The video does not show the remarks you are referring to that "right wingers are up in arms about."
The remarks they are upset about is when he was walking to the podium, during the applause. Also, every president in history, when making a statement following a tragedy, has come out portraying a solemn presidential personality. He came out, laughing, joking, just altogether not "presidential-like." He talked about alot of things that really did not matter, before transitioning into the worst attack on a military installation, by a radical jihadist mulsim, in the history of the US.
I hate to admit this, but this was offensive to me, as a former member of the US Marines. However, I do not believe it is anything to the level of degree the right wingers are making it.
Yes, he screwed up. Americans were killed. He should've led with his remarks about the rampage.
Good grief. Acting inappropriately? He was supposed to be giving a speech at a convention and stopped it to recognize the tragedy. Seems to me what would have been inappropriate would be jumping up and talking about the shooting and then going on about the speech business. Those idiot pundits and right wing bloggers who are spreading this crap should be ashamed of themselves; they use anything, including utter tragedies such as this, to spread lies about the administration. Frankly they are disgusting.
Controversial? Maybe if he'd opened with "So, these two guys walk into a wigwam..."

Did he act inappropriately? Of course not.
If he started the speech immediately by addressing the Fort Hood event, fringe Regressive extremists would've simply blamed him for taking a breath first.
