Sunday's Show - October 8th

This is Pastor Joel Hunter. You might remember him from State of Belief last month. He's the author of Right Wing, Wrong Bird: Why the Tactics of the Religious Right Won't Fly with Most Conservative Christians. So it might surprise you that he's been elected to lead the Christian Coalition, a once-vaunted fund-raising organization for the Religious Right, founded by Pat Robertson.
Welton talks with Pastor Hunter, in his first radio interview as the new President of the Christian Coalition, to find out why he took the job.
Also, we'll kick off a new feature - Blogs of Belief - with help from StreetProphets.com editor Pastor Dan Schultz. Find out what's getting attention on notable religious blogs this week.
Plus, we'll hear a commentary from ACLU board member Phil Bereano on why the suspension of Habeas Corpus is also a suspension of religious and moral values.

Church-state issues in Ohio
We've had a couple forum discussions here on the issues related to church/state separation, including one where Barry Lynn was a speaker. Some transcription of those events can be found at my blog here.
