Update: GOP Infighting Over Upstate NY Congressional Race Heats Up
The list of Republicans intervening in Congressional race continues to grow.

A week ago we brought you the story of a New York congressional district (a part of upstate New York that hasn't been represented by a Democrat since the Civil War) that has become the epicenter for GOP infighting as the party determines its best way out of the political wilderness. The list of Republicans publically making remarks and endorsements in this race keeps growing.
Currently Tim Pawlenty, Sarah Palin, Marilyn Musgrave, Rick Santorum, Steve Forbes, and Fred Thompson have all stumped for the Conservative party candidate against the Republican candidate in some sort of attempt to make a national statement regarding the future of their party -- specifically that the party just isn't conservative enough.

shhhhhh - Rachel - don't tell them know how silly everyon else in the world knows they are! Not a good idea there. If they ever figured out the liberal strategy of honesty and integrity and brilliance they might be dangerous. Let them run even crazier nut jobs I say. I'm rather enjoying this parade of clowns - with their hilarious antics of pretend piety, their laughably ignorant self righteousness, and ludicrous dihonesties. I'm trying to keep a straight face here because I don't want them to know how transparent they are. Go Rupert Murdoch! You keep those opinionated white trash rural folks and those narcissistic business people and bigoted old people fully empowered in their greed, hatred, and ignorant self righteousness. Awesome business plan really. Fox News listeners get all the candy false words they lust for and the Republican party becomes a freak show along the way. Meantime, the rest of us will go on with the real work of making a difference in the world and fighting the ongoing war against very real right wing corporate criminal behavior - oh yes - that work that actually takes time and money, a regard for factual truth, generosity, and all around strength of character.
