The never-ending battle for health care reform continued today as Majority Leader Harry Reid presented his new proposal for a government-sponsored insurance plan which would include an opportunity for individual states to have the choice of opting out of the government plan.
The current plans on the table are still mired in controversy, including a possible filabuster by one Senator Joe Lieberman. Ron Reagan spoke with Igor Volsky, health care researcher for the Center for American Progress, about why it's important to include a strong public option in order to systemically reform the United States health care system.
